I read the reviews and…. I still bought it
I got it….. I installed it…… as of now…. So far so good. Day 1 complete car still running smoothly. Update…. A week and still running well. UPDATE #2! One mont and some change and it’s still working

This product has not given my e39 525i no problems for a couple of months
I have had this pump installed for a year now. No failure at all. It was a pretty good pump and was good quality!

There are problems with fastening.
The mount does not hold the pump in place in the tank. Over time, it jumped out and the minimum fuel level increased.

Cheap Junk
Do yourself a favor buy a German brand spend the money! This pump is complete garbage!!!First things first the hose is to short compared to original making the install difficult to begin with,then the plastic housing that the pump rides in is deformed and will not lock into place in the tank.( What a joke!!)That being said I had to reuse my existing original pump plastic housing to get it to lock into the tank clips. Then in less than 50 miles it quit on me left me stranded.!!I got home took it out and tested it and it started working intermittently put it back in drove around the block and it quit again.My original factory OEM pump went 244000 miles without issue .This one couldn't even make it 100 miles!!I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!Since I discarded the plastic housing I have no way to get my money back.( I really just want a refund) but I think I am out of luck on this one.I WOULD NOT EVEN KEEP THIS THING FOR A BACKUP PUMP.Not worth the difficulty to put it in to have it fail again.

Works great in my 2001 530i E39
As others have said, the black plastic mounting bracket didn't quite fit in my gas tank. It looks the same, I'm not sure which dimension was different but it just wouldn't seat properly. It was easy to swap it with the original, and then it dropped right in. Also, the new fuel hose is pretty stiff, and I had to push fairly hard to get it bent the right way to get the fuel pump and fuel sender in through the access hole. But once in there it ran fine.

This OEM pump was $610. Autohaus had it for $585 with a $117 generic. After doing some research, I came across this one. With such a huge price difference, I had to give it a try. Works well so far.....
