If you are a beginner to growing and need something foolproof, this is for you. Just add dirt, seeds and water and watch your herbs grow. Fits perfectly on the windowsill and since it is self-watering you just need to make sure the water is filled. Simple to do as there is a measure to notify you when the water level is too low. Can't wait to have herbs for cooking.

These boxes will only fit very small herb plants, pretty much the smallest ones you can buy at the store. But they work great for those little plants. Mine are looking so happy and healthy. I love the system with the water measurer. I wish I could buy more planter boxes like these to accommodate some of my bigger herb plants. The planters are plastic but a thick heavy plastic. Well made in Germany.

the individual planters are smaller than I expected. maybe ok for growing plants from seed. too small IMO for maintaining indoor herbs for an extended period of time.

Stores water for over a week, seems to be a good value for the price. Would buy again.

Trays that hold herbs are too small to hold anything. Only about 3 fingers wide each. I gave it to my wife as a gift and she said it’s worthless. The inside trays are smaller than the trays plants come in when you buy them.

I bought this for my daughter and she loves it for her herb garden. The water level guide, the easy access and the sturdy materials that make it up is what makes it great. It really is beginner and user friendly.

I was looking for an herb garden/planter to hold a few different herbs but one small enough to "chase the sun" around the various areas where the sun enters the kitchen. I ended up painting the lower half because the green didn't blend with my kitchen aesthetic but once painted, it looks nice.
