This almost looks like real leather, although it's vinyl. I used it to replace the top of my black ottomans which had become sun-damaged over the years. It was nearly a perfect match. Make sure that you get a size that will cover your product seam to seam however, because if you try to put a smaller piece on, it will just look like a patch. If you can cover it seam to seam it will look great.

This is a really good match to my couch, so I can finally cover the cat scratch damage caused before we put a scratching post in front of their favorite spot. The material is nicely sticky, but not glue-like. From other's reviews and my own experience, I've learned that patches like this work best when placed on areas that aren't exposed to frequent, heavy stretching of the materials underneath them. Like if you try to put a large patch on a seat cushion that stretches a lot when sat on, or areas that might be exposed to friction on the edges of the patch. These circumstances will, inevitably, cause the edges to lift and the adhesive to be pulled loose. You cannot expect to ignore basic science- putting large non stretch patches on stretch materials does not give nice results. This is best used for small patches on areas like seat cushions that'll stretch slightly when sat on, or larger patches on areas that do not get exposed to stretching or rubbing. Like the side of the couch, for example. For which this patch material is perfect!

I like the material and it covers well, but the adhesive does not last very long and pulls up. And need to find a better adhesive.
