They are nice models of the planets. I have them hanging above the student tables in my science classroom classroom. In the photo they look like they're different sizes, perhaps like the actual planets, but they are all the same size, not like the actual planets. However, we all know that there is no way to make a model solar system to scale that would make sense in all ways, so we live with what we've got. They look cool.

First, these are super easy to assemble and include instructions that are easy to follow should you need them, they are also great quality considering they are paper lanterns, which are pretty fragile, but they withstood our excited toddlers giving them a squeeze or three when they accidentally got their hands on them during assembly! I give it five stars for that type of performance alone, but the colors are so appealing as well! I was nervous they would be too vibrant and cartoonish, but they have a beautiful, subtle tone to them that pairs well with any already existing decor, I love them and so does everyone else, especially after we added battery-operated LED lights so they could “glow” at night!

I used these for Spirit Week “holiday door decorating” at school and they were a big hit! My 9th graders easily assembled them. We used large paper clips to attach them to the ceiling. I’ve since moved them into my classroom (I’m a science teacher) and even my 12th graders love them!

I was very excited when I saw these on Amazon. Normally I am a very conscientious consumer and I read all of the details and comments before buying something. I thought these would be perfect for my classroom as I teach space in my curriculum. I saw that there were only five left so I bought them quickly based on the picture. The disappointment came when assembling the lanterns and discovering all of the planets are the same size sphere. Although the picture is very deceiving because it makes it look like they are different sizes, I take partial responsibility because I failed to read the description. They are very nicely made and nicely colored, and my students are very excited for me to hang them in my room, I just wish they were different sizes to represent the different sizes of the planets.

After finally opening these, I discovered they would be pretty useless as a 3rd grade classroom display from the ceiling. The picture is very deceiving, as the planets are not to scale and are all the same size. You can really only identify the Earth as a specific planet...possibly Mars is the reddest and Jupiter may be with a great spot. Unfortunately, I can no longer return them.

Very well made and packaged!! They are large and great for decorating! Very happy with them and would buy again if needed!
