When I got my first set I sand papered them down and pollished them up a bit before painting the farm animals on them, as a kids toy the kid loved them but after continous use of opening they wouldnt close so I put some supper blue around the bottom edge and allowed to to dry to create some more grip and that works, my second pair I decide not to file down to prevent them from getting worm out fast and did a monkey theme both sets are loved and moving to new york 🥲 will need more soon to replace them

Fun to paint but some open too easy and others are too tight

I got these blanks to make a set of nesting dolls. I had to do a lot of work on them for them to be ready to painted, though, including sanding the bottom of the biggest one so it would sit flat and the entire body of the smallest one so it didn't get stuck inside the next one. It took a while to get them ready, but it was fun to paint them when they were ready, and the work was worth it because they came out so cute, but it would've been really nice to not have to do all the extra work.

I've purchased these sets multiple times and find myself returning them more often than not. These are not the best quality overall, but sometimes I can work with them to fix the imperfections. Other times they are completely unusable. My latest purchase of these was absolutely terrible. The largest doll had a giant crack down the side and the smaller figures were either too loose or so tight you could barely pull them apart. They are certainly a good price, but it is becoming such a hassle to have to return every other set or have to fix and repair the ones I keep that I think I'm just going to start paying double for much better quality sets.

The product is poorly made with cuts being poorly handled. One was cut too loose that it falls apart and another so tight I had to to take an exact knife and carefully pry it apart because the softwood material this is made of damages easily.The lathe work was so badly handled that the tops and bottoms are damaged with noticeable holes and there are cracks as well. So I had to buy wood putty to fix it. Basically, this is not an investment, it's a chore.Also, this is my second review because my first criticism of their product was blocked by the sellers, likely to save face from me calling them out on their shoddy craftsmanship.

Previously bought from another company. The wood on those were not sturdy nor very smooth. These are extremely sturdy and very smooth. Unless I find another company that makes them as well, I will definitely buy from this company again.

First one I ordered was so loose that the biggest size wouldn’t even stay connected. So I reordered, and the second one was so tight it makes a LOUD high pitch squeak anytime I unscrew it. Love the softness though!
