Why did you pick this product vs others?:Easy to install. So nice to step into the same temperature shower each time.

The Photoshopped product pictures show it working in ways that it just plain will not. Water must be actively flowing through it for it to function, so it can't tell you tub water temperature.There are two things to consider when installing this thermometer: 1) if you have a regular tub/shower faucet and install it on the shower head, the only place possible, it cannot tell you the temperature of the tub filler, only the shower. 2) when you do install it on the shower head, it has a swivel built into it's inlet, so it and anything you attach to it can and will spin freely. If you are connecting a hose, no problem. If you want to connect an extension arm... that's not going to work unless the thermometer is the last piece, right behind the shower head, which can then spin freely, changing it's angle.Pressing the button switches between temperature and shower timer.Holding the only button changes modes, °C to °F.I do like it, and in my 5th attempt I got it installed right behind my 10x10 rain shower head where it works but it's inconvenient to reach and impossible to see during the shower, only before getting in. I get in my shower when it is holding a steady 100°F, then cannot see it any more.I wish the swivel didn't swivel so it could hold position. This would have slowed me to install it right on the shower spout, where I could see and reach out better. I wish it were a metal body to support more weight, like the 12" extension and 10x10 rain shower head I am using. Also, it would be great to see the temperature and timer at the same time, like a previous wall unit I had at a different house. I have to hit the button to toggle between them now.

Great product. It does reduce your water pressure a little.

Plastic garbage. I would give it 0 stars if I could.Sprayed water everywhere as soon as I installed it. Fell apart while attempting to unscrew.DO NOT BUY!

I am hoping this will keep working and working, so don't take this review as a test of longevity. If I can update this review if I need to, I will. I've been using this for about half a year. It is accurate, and works as it should. It also does not seem to leak, but honestly my setup in my shower is so unorthodox, I'm not even totally sure.

works great bought 2, 1 works, and 1 leaks a little, would be nice for a replacement trade. i will send pics, pretty cool

I owe an apology to Amazon. I ordered this shower thermometer and received it in two days. But, the display failed to illuminate when pushing the side button, so I returned it immediately and asked for a replacement which I also received promptly. Same problem. Then it occurred to me that the display may not operate without water in the system under pressure. It took only 10 minutes to install the device and as soon as I turned-on the water the display lit-up and all functions worked perfectly. Sorry, Amazon. In my defense, there was nothing in the instructions to indicate that the display required water pressure to turn it on. Assuming that the non-replaceable battery will last a year or two, I am giving it five stars. Neat little gadget at a reasonable price.
