Decent kids toy
It's a decent little car, it is pretty zippy on a fresh battery on a flat surface. The remote control is styled like a hobby controller, but the 'wheel' is just a left/right switch, not a fine steering adjustment, and the trigger is just forward/reverse. A 7-10y/o will have fun with it. Speed/power begin to suffer about halfway through the ~30m battery life, at which point grass/rough terrain becomes very difficult. I paid just over $30, which seems fair. I wouldn't go much higher than that though.

Great First Hobby RC Car
This was a Christmas gift for my 7 year old son. We got him 2/ 1 for me and 1 for him so we could race. It is a cool start to hobby RC cars as it has a high tech controller that allows you to adjust speed (huge perk to help the younger kids learn the controls). The cars them selves are cool looking and fun to race. There has been 2 hiccups.1st hiccup was one of the chargers had a bent prong so it doesn't fit the batteries.2nd hiccup was my son had it full speed and he clipped a wall and broke an axel. The positive is DEERC has had a great customer service for us. The charger is being replaced for free and I was able to order a replacement part through DEERC for $9. The only negative is it ships from so far away it will take 15 to 25 days to receive these items.Again overall great fun product and great customer service that is willing to help as needed!

Broke very quickly.
Had to return this item because the controller would randomly just disconnect and the car would immediately become unresponsive and accelerate in a straight line until it hit something. It happened once or twice in the house and then it did it outside and crashed straight into a curb. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I returned because I didn't want to figure out what was going on.

Just buy it, won't regret it.
Bought this hoping to get my 9 year old into RC with me, I have 2 1/10 scale full kits from Tamiya. She is intimidated by those, the size and weight is too much even turned down. So I thought this was the ticket, well she wasn't impressed lol. BUT I am loving this thing, it is definitely more hobby grade vs toy. Fully proportional makes all the difference to really enjoy an remote controlled vehicle. Already wanting to put a stronger motor in and maybe some oil shocks if I can find. It is an absolute hoot in the house, my others are far to big to try donuts and drifts on the hard floors. This little guy provides tons of fun right out of the box, the batteries last 20min+. Just make sure you fully charge prior to first use, and I recommend breaking in the brushed motor for best performance, but that's the hobby RC guy in me. I got a coupon and only paid $32!!! Even at original price it is the best buy.

Works but glitchy
The software on this car is absolute garbage. âWhat do you mean software? Itâs a toy car?â You may ask. Well yes all RC toys have software running on the remote and on the car. In this case itâs glitchy and ruins the experience. The problem: too many inputs and the car will stop responding. Worse it will stay stuck at the last throttle position. So basically it will randomly get stuck at full forward 100% speed. It wonât respond no matter how close the controller is. You are forced to catch the car and then power cycle. This can also be bad for hurting little ones fingers. The gear train also isnât that great. It seems like it takes a lot of throttle to âbreak looseâ from a stand still. When this car is working itâs fun but I ran into the glitch 3 times on the first battery
