Trolling motor is easy to install, works great with remote. Spot lock can only be done with your phone using Helmsman app. First time I used it, it was great. Second fishing trip at same lake i kept getting disconnected so I couldn’t use spot lock and couldn’t figure out why. Helmsman app has a ton of features but no resources on how to use the darn thing?!?! So I haven’t figured out how to map routes or any of that and now my spot lock won’t work. Very little I could find online to help. I actually might return this because of this. Haswing HELP!

The trolling motor build quality is good. It does great on battery life. It is made of very strong materials. Trust me I have had some big accidents but the motor and shaft survives. 2 issues I have: the package doesnt come with a quick release mount and the stupid thing is $100 bucks. Second this thing runs off your cell phone. It saves maps now.

I installed this trolling motor on my 17ft bay boat and have used it in both salt and fresh water. After getting familiar with the Helmsman app the motor has performed flawless. Did not want to pay the high cost of other trolling motors on the market and glad I tried this one...

Bluetooth wouldn't connect and phone app. wouldn't let me log in after registration. There is no technical support, went back to Minn kota a reliable company.

Overall it's a nice little unit. However. I bought both the motor and the foot control as well. Only to find out that the foot control does not connect directly to the motor it connects to the hand fob. Your phone if you want to use the app also connects to the hand fob. So if the hand fob battery dies your done you have no other option to control the motor. After spending 110 for the foot control I thought I could use that in place of the hand fob but nope..... I also asked if I could buy a wired foot control. But they dont make one for the gps unit. So as a added cost I thought I would buy a 2nd hand control / fob. And there it is again another 100 cost. So in general the motor was 800. Foot control 110. 2nd hand fob if you want a back up is 100. Now the total cost is 1010 and that's not counting a quick dis connect bracket for another 100. Now your cost is 1100. And you can buy a Minn Kota Ipilot for that price. So what you bought to avoid paying the big bucks for a brand name unit.. ends up costing the same as that brand name unit. And with less functionality. If they would either add the option to hook up a wired foot control. Or make the wireless foot control able to use in place of the fob I would give a better review. On one last note. They also need to add an anchor button to both the hand fob and the foot control. As others have said right now you can only use anchor with the phone app.
