Nice Christmas train, had to modify track around a tree. Has light and steam and noise, noise can be muted. Good value, remote control and train is rechargeable.

Big problem with 4 others we've had over the years.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my dad, who, ever since I was a kid, talked about how he always wanted a train set when he was a kid, but it never happened. And while I was growing up, he always said that he would still love to have a train set… so with Christmas around the corner, I decided to buy it for him and finally fulfill his childhood dream! He especially loved the part where you can see steam coming from the engine!The train works awesome, it’s super easy to set up and it’s nice that the battery is rechargeable. The only reason I took one star away is because the train does seem to be a little picky when it’s in the tracks. When you build the figure 8 track, for some reason it either likes to ONLY go in a figure 8 patter, or ONLY in a circle. Changing the direction the tracks go makes it derail.But other than that little hiccup, my dad loves it! And I’m happy to see him smile like a little kid!!

This is a three part train set. It actually works with all the other sets. With this one the child I got them for has two of the three sets. Sets one and two (35-5A & 35-5B) have circular tracks only to make only a circle and oval track for the train. This set, 35-5C has the extra tracks that give you the ability to make a figure 8 through the 4 Y-Tracks and the 1 X-Track. In fact since these tracks attach to the other two sets you can make a large train track but the only problem is this set (35-5C) is the only one with the X and Y tracks and there isn’t way to get only the tracks to get more X and Y Tracks. But even with that you can combine the train cars of the other sets minus the engines and coal cars to this one making a longer train or you can have the three trains going all at once via the separate remotes. These are the two ways with two of the three sets we have that the child I got them for uses them. An idea I let him figure out all on his own.

The switch tracks piece does not line up in any way with either track that it tries to switch it to. This makes that piece unusable. With that piece being unusable - you are only able to build a small circle track which was hugely disappointing. Nothing worse than getting a birthday present that disappoints.

We got this to put under the Christmas tree just for fun, even though we're retired and don't have kids. It has a surprising number of fun features like a light in the front, a whistle (that can be muted), and steam that comes out of the smoke stack and from under the engine when it stops. They put a lot of thought into it. The remote is a little hard to use, since it's not always clear whether it is on or off, but it works. The track is easy to setup and keep together. Occasionally the engine derails at one of the track switches, but mostly they work alright. I would imagine kids would love this - the kid in me does.

Absolutely loved it. My son is so happy. My only disappointment is missing a rail to do the x part of the rail system, for it to be complete. Maybe they missed it while packing. But disappointed that we cannot use the full potential of what is advertised. Otherwise very happy with the purchase

This train was much better fromLast years almost the same but this one is more stable and make sounds the smoke didn’t work but we were fine everything else is ok
