Simple and effective, the power button has a very satisfying "click".Do take note that this isn't in any way going to properly shut down your pi, you still have to do that yourself; what this is, is a power switch, no more, no less, you push the button: it severs the power, you push it again: it powers on.Simply perform a shut down operation on the pi or whatever device you're working on first before hitting the power button to prevent possible MicroSD corruption.The construction is more or less what you would expect: a cable with a button in the middle of it, it gets the job done, but honestly, I'm not exactly sure how long this thing will keep working before something breaks internally, it feels understandably cheap given the price, but so far so good I suppose.I would recommend picking up a few of these just in case, but if you're really worried about a long lasting push button solution, honestly you should probably just fabricate and wire your own with off shelf components, however, if you're looking for a quick and dirty power button, this will do you just fine.

Some cars, example some BMW models have the cigarette socket always on problem. It is a headache when you connect your dash camera or other digital devices into the always power on cigarette socket. To prevent draining power from the car battery. I connected this cable to my dash cam and used it as on off switch. It works very well and I can control my dash cam power easily. I can leave it on for 24 hours parking mode if I park in an unsafe area but I can also turn it off when I park inside my garage. The cable has an audible click sound when pressing it and the length is good enough for attaching to any device. Good product and highly recommended.

Flawless power pass through. No loss of voltage through the switch. I run a very aggressive overclock setup for a RetroPie load and this switch provided what 4 other power supplies with power buttons could not.Using a Cannakit 2.5a 5v power supply provides all the power I need and this switch works seamlessly with it. Would rate 6 stars if possible.

Not much to say, it's a switch. But the simple fact that the Raspberry Pi does not come with any sort of on/off switch making it so you have to unplug the power to turn it off makes this switch invaluable. If you have a Pi, or are thinking of getting one, this is a must have.

Nice switch. Good tactile feedback. Since I can't see the Pi LED light due to my case construction, it would have been nice to have a LED light on the switch. The LED would absorb a small about of power and not necessary for all applications, but I would have chosen a different switch had I known about my case limitation.

This works great, I leave it installed inline between my Ras Pi and the battery and just turn it on and off. This eliminates the wear and tear on the micro USB power jack on the Ras Pi board.

Gives my raspberry pi running RetroPie the lightning bolt when doing anything remotely intensive. Lighter games still run fine though and the button itself is very convenient.

Works as advertised but the female connector is too shallow to take the majority of the male connector, stopping it at about halfway. Still works but......
