I replaced my last siphon hose with this new version. Much better faucet connection. I like the small strainer inset for better filtration in a turtle aquarium.

Wel start off by saying tbis things so terrible to try to figure out how to put together. Directions stink. Literally just an image. Tben I get it together and can’t figure out for the life of me how to get it to suck water out of tne tank. It managed to put more water in and go all over my floor but after three hours of playing no sucking water out. And this one with the hose type hose (not clear tubing ) is awful because it gets links or folds in it and then don’t work. Plus I must’ve been sent a return. Box came all taped up and hose all bent up. This product I do not recommend to anyone. Going to order a long pvc hose now and either just attach it to my electric fish r Al cleaner I use to get the water out of my tank or get a pump to attach it to cause tbis is useless junk

I have several tanks. This makes it a dream to set up new tanks and do water changes. I put an herb garden below the window, so I drain outside and water the plants with the nutrient rich tank water. The bathroom across the hall is where I get water to fill the tanks.

So, the tldr for this product is that it's functional and does everything it says it will. However, I did notice that the suction from the venturi ("pump") was not super strong through the 50' hose until I turned up my utility faucet fairly high. As I don't have a "normal" sink with a threaded aerator all I can't confidently say the suction will be strong enough through a conventional sink, plenty fine with the utility sink though. It fills and drains with ease and didn't leak for me after using teflon and the two included rubber washers. There's no real installation pointers for those rubber washer so I just used them where they fit and had good luck doing that. The worst thing about the product overall is how fragile it sorta seems. My suggestions around this are just to be very careful when tightening the plastic joints as you can always tighten more in case of a leak but can't in-crack the plastic if you give er too much hell. 4/5 just because I haven't tested the longevity of the product other than doing a water change on my 30 gallon tank. I do expect it to last a decent while though. The other reason for the 4/5 stars is the fact that it may not be able to pull suction out of a small sink, I've read other reviews where this was a problem. I'd buy an upgraded version with brass hardware if it was ever offered.

It is a bit complicated to know how exactly to assemble all the parts to make it work. But once you got the installation write… it becomes a dream, it is so easy for me to change the water now. And the suction removed all debris or feces on my gravel. Highly recommended!!! You need to connect it to your outside water hose to get more suction.

It does not suck at all! The length is great but unfortunately, it does not work! I’ve taken it apart & reassembled. Still nothing.
