Will probably order a 2nd one for home office

First one had a defective valve out of the box. Seller was great & promptly replaced it.The replacement is excellent with good quality materials. It holds height with my 215lbs without any problem. Padding is comfortable yet strong enough for all day office use. Foot ring really helps for different foot and leg positions throughout the day.I have a fussy nerve on the outside of my thigh that makes sitting in most office chairs is painful. That's why I've used an adjustable standing desk for years. This stool allows me a modified standing position for less pressure on my feet without the leg nerve pain, yet I find myself keeping good posture. When I need to do something away from my desk, it's so much easier to just stand from this as compared to a chair. I will likely get another for my home office.

Want to know if a Saddle Chair is right for you? This is a good place to start.

Let's say you are thinking to yourself "I want a Saddle Chair to see if it is right for me but don't want to spend a grand." -- If this is you, this is a good chair to start with. It will help you understand what you want and don't want in a saddle chair without breaking the bank.Comments on features:1. Saddle Tilt - I see this as critical and something this chair has that many do not. Great having it, which makes finding a comfortable seating position relatively easy.2. Backrest is quite comfortable. The only issue with it is that it creeps down over a few days even when I have it tightened, which I'll likely fix by just adding some texture to the post or tightening it down even further.3. Footrest is great, especially if you have the chair fairly high. Really great feature to have.4. Up and down movement is good, although now that I have it, I wish it went up another 2-3 inches since I'm using it at a standing desk. With this said, it works fine and is a great height for regular desk all the way up to drafting desk heights.5. The saddle is comfortable, but not perfect. I believe that I would want it a bit narrower, but as a whole, I'm fine with it. It is doing the job and is comfortable enough that I can use it as a desk chair. The padding on the saddle is not amazing, but it is fine. I have a gel pad I've thrown on a few times after hours of sitting to make it a bit more comfortalbe as I adjust.Impressions as they might apply to others:1. The saddle might be too wide for some, which is fine. Often, I find that it is because I slid forward, and just pushing back in the chair fixes it.2. Similar to when you start riding a bike after years of not doing it, you need to give your body time to acclimate. A week in, I'm just now developing saddle chair butt as I'm calling it. It's fine, and I suspect will get better as I acclimate. As a whole, I'm glad I got this chair and will be watching for sales on a high-end model, but if I use this one for a year or more, I don't think that'll be a problem. Now I know what I want, and this chair is perfectly servicable. Even if I replace it, this chair will move to my garage as my workbench stool/chair.

soft, adjustable seat cushion

If your work involves substantial hours before a computer, screen, and printer - a height adjustable and movable seat is almost a requirement to prevent spinal or muscle trauma. The seat glides across a floor or short-shag rug with ease. There’s really no assembly at all, just insert the casters, the piston, foot rest, seat - and you’re in business.

Buyer beware, plan on replacing the base and wheels if you are plus size.

I bought this for when I work from home as I've heard these are better than sitting in a normal chair. I'm a big boy and this one had a weight capacity of 450 lbs. & while I'm not that heavy, the price made me buy it. But if you're even close, plan on replacing the base and wheels. This thing had the cheapest wheels on it I've ever seen. They looked like something that would be on a small 2 drawer filing cabinet, not a chair rated for 450lbs. The wheels started sticking and failed within a week. I already replaced them with skate wheels and went ahead and replaced the base as it didn't seem to support the weight they advertised either. Do the $$ math, add $20 for skate wheels and possible another $50 for a different base, for plus size people it might be worth it, everyonme else, I'd keep looking until they upgrade this or lower the wieght capacity down about 1/3 of what they advertise.

It worked well for me.

I never had a chair like this before and it's helping with my terrible posture at my computer desk. I didn't put the wheels on because I have a very low corner desk and so I set it on a rug that lets me move the position. (I know that I'm strange.) But anyway - I'm happy with it and that's what counts. I also had a question, early on, and the customer service person got back to my email the NEXT day. Good service!

Used and Rusted

Came in secondary packages obviously used and returned. The backrest is completely rusted which is a huge health risk as I work in healthcare. A lot to pay for a chair for someone to not notice the very obvious defect that shouldn’t have been resold.
