I purchased the Gyufise 300-pc. - Edible Christmas Cupcake Decorations to use with small children who were excited to decorate Holiday Cookie Houses.These little decorations are a perfect choice for young bakers to handle, and with the high definition of these decorations, they are perfect for adding the extra details to most baking projects.I read a couple reviews, where the Purchasers were disappointed that these little edibles are “paper”, as they do not wish to eat paper. Unfortunately, they misunderstood just what “wafer rice paper” actually is, which is a thin, translucent ‘paper’ made from potato starch, water, and vegetable oil, and this means it is edible and is not a wood byproduct.The designs’ ink is made of food coloring, and the designs are crisp and brightly colored. Although the package contains 300-pcs., there are at least 15 different designs, and they are approximately 2” X 1.4” in size, with each specific design having its own size that fits into this range. No design is smaller than that.The flavor is neutral but, if you sit and eat several of these little decorations, it will leave a slight food color after taste in your mouth but, it’s nothing overbearing. However, when eaten as a cake and / or cookie toppers, we couldn’t taste it, at all. The only reason we sat and ate them was because the kids wanted all of us the eat the various designs, just to see if they have unique flavors … but they do not; all of them tastes the same.These edible decorations held up to the moisture in the icing we used on our Holiday Cookie Houses, and they held up to the buttercream frosting that we used on our New Year’s Cupcakes. Paper, not edible at all. Poor quality at best

I purchased them to decorate cupcakes for Christmas, after finishing my orders they looked absolutely beautiful.

These are cute, BUT product description says “Edible”. Further down it says “paper”! Made in China. I’m not in the habit of feeding children paper!
