Q: How do I know that this is the genuine product?

I've bought this product one from a shop and one from amazon they are the same and I would recommend it ,it is the genuine product

Q: I find the smell quite unpleasant - should it smell so medicinal.I expected something more luxurious fro Elemis

The Elemis facial skincare range is not as fragrant as the body products. This is because it doesn't have perfume in the ingredients. Perfumes are not good for the face. It is less about the fragrance in the facail products and more about the feel and how it penetrates the skin.

Q: Can this be used as a moisturiser alone?

I used it on its own and sometimes through the week added moisturiser over it, I also put some of it in my makeup as top up of make up, I hv dry skin and was surprised could use it on its own but I did mix in between hope this helps
