The description of how the PLC handles the instruction stack and how and why the ladder diagram is used is easy to understand
Introduction to the world of PLC's, get this if you are just getting started or if you want to fill some cracks in your foundation. The description of how the PLC handles the instruction stack and how and why the ladder diagram is used is easy to understand. I really like that the book has code samples from different PLC manufacturers and brings out some differences between them. The book gives you the basic understanding required to have no problem reading programming instructions of different manufacturers, but it doesn't go into to much detail. For instance the chapters on data handling and system design are really just a few quick notes and don't help you with actual program/data structuring and good software management. Also most of the program samples could easily be handled by a couple of relays. While I would like more detailed information on some subjects, the book never claims to be anything more than an introduction and is well written and easy to read, earns 5 stars from me.

This book is good, but is not the best
This book is good, but is not the best: although author writes some technical routes, methods for PLC programming, however, this book can not be a guidance for PLC programming because author is shortage of practical experiences which is reflected in this book.
