When I was looking for a large fire pit I had a hard time getting an answer for the inside diameter of the pit itself. They always give measurements from the outer rings. So I'm here to inform you that the inside diameter is 36". Easy to put together and made well. The bottom has 12 drain holes so if it rains, water won't rust the fire pit. I don't grill on these things so I really didn't need the grill grate, but it's a nice one. I only use them for bonfires and burning leaves. The spark guard is essential and I love the robust brackets provided as well as the "lifter". This traveled 1500 miles to me and not one dent. Very happy with this!

The spark cover is extremely delicate. Mine cam dented, but I didn't care because I'll likely to that myself here shortly! Same with the fire pan. Relatively thin metal that's easily dented (as this on was on arrival). We'll see... I'm not expecting YEARS of service, but it's metal in the end it can get recycled!

Easy to put together, just don't tighten all the screws until the end. Adequate ventilation for a great fire.

I will be lucky if this fire pit lasts for the summer. It is very cheaply made!!!
