Amazing range and sound/mic quality! Long battery life!

I work from home and LIVE in meetings off and on all day. I bought this headset in March and it is now November. I LOVE this headset. I use it with Microsoft teams and have used it with my mobile phone also. The range you can go is phenomenal! I am able to go downstairs to my basement and change a load of laundry and not lose my call. I've even been able to walk outside and get my mail while on a call. These are a game changer! The charge/battery life is excellent! I love that it tells me how charged the battery is when I first use it (between meetings). It charges quickly. I have not needed to use the head/neck band. It stays comfortably in my ear. The sound and microphone are a great quality. People say they can hear me clearly, no static, and no issues with volume control. I highly recommend this wireless headset. Jabra for the WIN!!

Great for all-day meetings! With some quirks.

The media could not be loaded. The mic audio quality is superb. I can take meetings in noisy environments and the noise is filtered well. I think the ideal volume level is the default which is about 70%. The speaker audio quality is not great but for calls, it works well and the volume level is ok too, I just had to place the speaker volume to 0% and then up to 100% because when I got it, the speaker volume did not seem to be high enough for phone calls but it was weirdly ok with calls through Teams or Zoom. I was not sure if I needed the cradle/charger, but I'm glad I ordered it with one as it makes it so easy to forget to charge the headset in between calls and with the cradle, I know that my headset is going to be topped off for my next call. I used to have Evolve2 65 stereo and that one felt heavy on my head after a few hours of back-to-back calls. I just wish that the charging port is USB C so I do not have to bring a separate cable when I'm on the road. At first I though the 13hours of battery life would be a problem but I just put the headset on the cradle after my calls and I'm good for the rest of the workday. I'm thinking of ordering the neckband and earhook accessories for this model to see if those would provide even greater comfort but we'll see. Great product!

Very Poor Audio Quality

I have bought and have been impressed by a lot of Jabra's products (several models of their wireless Bluetooth headphones). Having said that, I am hugely disappointed by the audio quality of this headset. It's so bad I initially thought I must have received a bad unit or a cheap counterfeit, but I have tested both the USB-A and USB-C dual speaker (stereo) headsets on two different computers and had the same experience with both models on both computers. Both headsets were updated to the latest firmware version, and all settings were set to the highest audio quality available. However, no audio setting or firmware update was able to overcome some of the worst audio quality I've experienced from a headset - let alone from a headset at this high price.I have tested more than a dozen different headsets over the last couple of weeks while trying to find a solution that will meet my needs at both my home office (my primary work location) and for those days when I have to travel to one of our office buildings. Unfortunately, the Jabra Engage 55 offers some of the worst audio quality of any of the headsets I've tested. I would put it just above the very worst headset I tested, and that other headset was a generic $35 "computer headset for calls."Audio quality from the microphone and headset speakers is, in a word, ABYSMAL. I tested three other headsets priced at less than $50 whose audio quality was head and shoulders above the Jabra Engage 55. I'm honestly shocked by just how bad the audio quality is. I'll be returning these and will, for the sake of my pleasant experiences with other Jabra products, try to forget I ever even tried these.

Deducted 1 star for the frustrating setup. Range and battery life is awesome.

I purchased this for MS Teams compatibility, long battery life, and ease of transportation. Like many, I have a hybrid work schedule, part work in the office and part work at home. I was tired of my Jabra 75 dying in the middle of calls and having to switch headsets constantly - some of my calls can be pretty lengthy. Having to drag two headsets to the office was, well, a drag. With this purchase, you are really purchasing 2 products: The Jabra Engage 55 and the Link 400 dongle. All previous Jabra headsets I had (my most recent was the Jabra 75) were pretty much plug and play. You plug in the docking station/charging stand or USB dongle, turn on the headset, it goes into pairing mode the first time you turn it on, it pairs automatically, navigate to sound settings and select the name of the headset - boom, you're using it. I did not have the same experiencing this this headset. My headset arrived during the day so I immediately put it on a charger, knowing my current headset would soon be dying. When it finally did, I unplugged the USB from my 75, plugged in the Link 400 dongle, turned on my headset, went to sound settings in Teams, there were no new options from which to select. I then realized I needed to manually run it through a pairing session to get the headset to pair with the dongle. Ok, no sweat. Easy enough it paired, or so I thought. It then kept cycling between pairing and then getting the annoying 'out of range' lady I was so used to hearing on my Jabra 75 while sitting right in from of my docking station. When it finally paired for good, it then would not show up in my sound settings to select for input/output. This happened on both my HP and MacBook. I got so frustrated I wanted to just return it for a refund. Instead, I left the dongle in the port on my laptop and rebooted my laptop a couple of times. After the second reboot it finally appeared in my sound settings to select from (both HP and my MBP), but not under Jabra Engage 55. Instead it displayed Link 400. Intuitively weird given the name on the box was Jabra Engage 55, but at that point I couldn't have cared less what it was called. I was finally able to use it for calls. The Jabra 75 had this annoying habit where I would mute/unmute the headset or the headset docking station and the app would not mute/unmute. I am happy to report I have not had this happen once.It comes with the charging cable, but I was thrilled to find that I could just use the docking station from my Jabra 75, where it happily sits between calls when I'm working from home. It does stay 'on' while charging, so if I get a call I just pick up the headset from the docking station to answer, without having to wait to turn on the headset. Thanks to the long battery life, it can make it through a workday and and when in the office I can just wear the mono-headset all day, leaving my other headset at home. It has the same great amazing range of my Jabra 75. At work I can walk to the cafeteria and get coffee while listening to my call. At home I can take the trash to the curb while listening to meetings. There's no way I could not do that with my plantronics/Poly Voyager BT headset without switching the meeting to my phone first. For those who may be wondering - the headset will not work with a mobile device as the headset itself is not bluetooth compatible. The link 400 is what you would pair it to (which is why that name comes up in sound settings instead of Jabra Engage 55). I have read about some claiming it is possible to pair their mobile device with the Link 400, but I have not been able to replicate that so far, and there are messages in the user manual stating it is not designed to use with a mobile device.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the headache at setup. I'm pretty happy with it now.
