Beautiful box, great gift

I thought it would be a nice gesture to decorate a shotgun shell for our buddy’s upcoming trap shoot. My best friend, Josh, said he would make and hand carve a special box to hold the shell. Apparently he cheated and bought it on Amazon. The box is surprisingly good quality! Anyway, the shot was a miss. Now I see a gesture don’t mean much.

Beautiful little box was slightly tweaked probably in shipping. I have experience work8ng with wood and was able to sand the rough ends so it fits together now. The hinges had been pushed out so after sanding I was able to push the back h8 goes and close the box hearing the box snap back together. It is a beautiful little box. But if I hadn’t known how to fix it I would have had to return as damaged in shipping. It is fragile. Needs to be packed better. And the rough wood wasn’t allowing it to close. Now it does! Beautiful fragile little box.

I bought this for some pretty tarot cards I got, but they definitely do not fit. The dimensions inside the box are quite small (this is where I should measure it for you but that sounds like a lot of work) and it will not fit standard size tarot cards. It IS a nice box, and seems to be sturdy and fairly well made, I just wish they had listed the internal dimensions because I for sure wouldn't have bought it if they had. All the same, I think I'll keep it and put something else in it. OH! Also worth mentioning, this box had zero weird smell from the stain used to color it. Which is significant cause most of these types of boxes seem to really stink.
