Very nice planer, perfect for any job
This planer is actually better than we thought it would be. Works great and is very well made. Noise level is not bad.

good value for money - set up and planning is important
good value for money. Takes some trial and error to determine how much you can plane in one run but it did the job well. I found two things: 1) a good vacuum/chip sucker set up is absolutely necessary and 2) I made a "landing pad" to avoid snipe as the boards go through. The landing pad prevent the board dropping on the output side and avoids the blades cutting deeper than they should. With those modifications it ran like a champ. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could -just can't give it 5 stars.

Well worth the price.
4 days of use, worked flawlessly, but you may want to lube the bottom skid plate, I used wd40.

Works well for my purposes
This is the first planner I've owned. Overall it is fairly straightforward to use. I've run several boards through this and have not experienced any downsides. The exit shoot is not plugging up on me unless my Shopvac gets full. In addition, I do not have any circuit breaker issues. I do run this on a dedicated circuit to avoid any power issues. I have experienced some planer snipe; however, I'm learning to avoid or minimize that from happening. Overall I'm pleased with this unit. The assembly was minimal. I understand you should consider an extended warranty for devices like this, so I bought one to be safe.

You better hope the belt never breaks.
The machine is good. The belt broke, I ordered another one. But you can’t get the new belt back on. You are better off buying a higher brand. I did contact the company. They had no answers for me.

Customer service
What I got to say about this item I have two of them one of us works great the other one that I bought he has three blades so after I use it for the first time the rollers stop pushing now withoutSo I took it up to myself to open them and see what's going on I still have the warranty on it but like I'm patients that I have and some items. I had to open itIn the meantime I'm writing emailing to the company what are the few the day or so I get respondA I explained what's going on then going through back and forth th customer service find out that is the gearbox so I did what they asked me I open the gearbox said I found which gear it was come loose so after back and forth and consistently stay in the problem that I have the company came through me sending a small video and I work at it explain to them what is going on they came through and send me the part no free of chargeNow would like to put it back together I don't think I should have a problem with it but what is stress and this message it is a good product for the money but s*** happens but the company stood behind they they said to be a new part and I am going to repair it would like to be a I will give this five stars head overall performance because I have another one I also give five stars for the customer service

I am still not sure
I watched several videos on YouTube about this planner and they all made it look good. So far, I am not a 100% happy. I am getting snipe and still trying to adjust it out. Also, it keeps blowing my circuit breaker. Not the little trip button on the planner but the breaker to my house. I thought it was because I was trying to take off to much but then it blew it when I had no wood running through the planner. I have run table saws, heaters, and many other power tools off that same plug without ever blowing the breaker. I going to run an extension cord from another part of the house to see if that helps. Hopefully i can stop blowing the breaker long enough to get rid of the snipe.

It arrived, shipped Fed Ex...see review.
So it arrived by Fed Ex and in keeping with their "It ain't mine, I don't care" attitude, it was left on my front porch, laying on its side, when package clearly indicates that it should be handled and shipped top up. Packaging had been roughed up alot. Got it unpacked, and assembled. Instructions are very minimal. Could not adjust the cutter head up and down, as it was binding. Called company, and customer service was somewhat lacking in what they could do. To assist, you'd get email instructions or return it. To return, I would have to go through Amazon. Amazon would want packaging back also. I didn't have packaging...expected it work since it's German engineered. So, using my mechanic skills, and not wanting to hassle with returns, I took the top off to find the bind. Found it...Fed Ex strikes again as they had bent the housing. A pair of pliers stagically placed fixed the housing so I could raise and lower cutter head. Not perfect, but it works for what I need...getting ready to test the cutter head later today, or tomorrow...I didn't notice any other issues other than housing somewhat damaged, so I presume the cutter head is level...more to follow. UPDATE: Issue #1: The unit base mount holes are not drilled the same. 3 holes are 5/16", 1 hole is 3/8".Issue #2: The connector for the chip removal vacuum is a bit small for U.S. vacuum hose connections (Rigid), a piece of Duct tape tightened that up.UPDATE #2: Issue 3, the mounting holes mentioned in "Issue 1" are to close the to product to allow fasteners to attach it completely to a base. Suggest possible redesign of moving holes 1/4" to 3/8" out from unit to allow ease of mounting. The current configuration reqiired multiple, annoying trips to hardware store in order to mount tool to base. Final mounting required using rear left mount hole, and front right mount hole only. This provided enough mounting to safely use tool. Total setup time from box delivery to use was 4 days due to shipping damage repair, and mounting configuration issues...otherwise, tool performed admirably as expected with low noise, and steady planning ( Setting 1). Suggest purchasing a dust collector for use between planner and Shop Vac to protect shop vac from dust clogging and burn out of shop vac motor (Voice of Experience).
