Did it clear out the clog? Sure. Did it retract into the drum like it's supposed to? Not for long. It's a plastic piece of crap, but I'm not sure what I was expecting. The instructions aren't very good (hold trigger to retract it......What trigger?) If it weren't for that, I would have just kept it. Cheap though it may be, it did do the job. But if it won't stay housed in the drum (which is kinda the point of getting this and not a cheaper option as the drum housing was a factor for us), then it's just a piece of junk that isn't gonna work for us. I think I'll spend a little more on a better version in the future.

I used this about three times and the first two times worked well. The third time the drill attachment broke off from the plastic so this is not recommended for heavy drill use. I bought this hoping to use with my drill for easy use but now I have to resort to the hand crank. Using the hand crank is slow and tedious, I couldn't really get it to work as well that way.Rating changed from 2 to 3 since the vendor was able to give me a full refund.

I bought this Auger to deal with clogging issues. Seller shipped the item very quickly and delivered before expected delivery date. The auger is well made and pretty strong. It works well and easily in plugged my sink. The drum is just for storing the spring, there's no smarts in it or anything. Basically, you pull out as much spring as you need, tighten the screw, then turn the handle to clear the block. Then you loosen the screw and manually retract the string (push it back inside) when you're done. Watch the official video to see what I'm talking about. I am very happy with my purchase; it is worth the money. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this plumbing snake after trying several other methods to unclog my kitchen sink. I was impressed by how easy it was to use, both manually and with a drill. The cable is flexible and long enough to reach the clog, and the drill adapter makes it faster and more effective. The snake head is designed to grab and pull out the debris, and it worked well for me. I was able to clear the clog in less than 10 minutes, and the sink drained smoothly afterwards.

This is not something a plumber would use everyday, but for domestic use it works fine and is a lot cheaper than a plumber.

We had a strange and stubborn drain issue in one bathroom. When one used the sink, the toilet beside it started to gurgling. As time went by, the toilet stopped flushing totally. Sometimes the water level in the toilet bowl will go very low by itself. We tried to use a plunger but couldn't solve the problem. Actually, some too powerful plungering broke the wax seal under the toilet and made a real mess in one try. Very confusing and frustrating. This 25 ft drain snake was our last hope before we would have to pay hundreds of dollars to get a plumber. There was obviously something in the drain pipe about 20 ft down. Had to turn/twist the snake with a power drill (at very low speed!) while poking back and forth many times to go through that last several feet of drain snake line. Used up the whole 25 ft and the drain problem disappeared. Glad to see that the snake worked the magic. However, while cleaning the drain snake and its housing after the usage, I noticed that the plastic housing is made of very thin material. Some inside part of the plastic housing is already partially damaged, most likely from turning/twisting motion. Not sure how many times the house can last. But just the one successful unclogging makes the cost back many times. One more note, it's probably a good idea to use a tape to cover the small gap on the plastic housing. I just used it as it is. The problem is when you retrieve the snake and turn it with a drill to pull it back or push it further in, liquid will spin out and splash on your face. I don't think that liquid is clean water.

It works as intended, at the beginning I thought it will increase the length by turning the nob, then I "reread" the instructions and it clearly says pull the snake manually. Duh!
