8x8 Shadow Box with Shelves, Square Shadow Boxes Display Cases with Shelves and Door, Deep Shadow Box Frame with Removable Shelves for Miniatures Figures and Collectibles-Black

I bought the black 18”x24” version of this shadow box. It arrived in a timely manner, and was well-packaged. There was no damage to the shadow box that I could find. The only slight defect is one of the shelves was bowed slightly. I turned this shelf upside, hoping that the weight on the shelf might straighten it out over time. No big deal for me if it doesn’t though, as it is very minor. The shelves have long grooves in the center of the shelves on one side, probably for displaying challenge coins or similar items. Since I was using the box for my cat figurine collection, I just turned the shelves over, without any issues. Hanging the shadow box on my wall was a bit of a challenge. The box came with two sawtooth hangers mounted on the back corners of the box, along with two screws and plastic sheet rock anchors. I don’t trust sheet rock anchors, especially with a heavy shadow box weighing about nine pounds. I located two wall studs, measured very carefully, and drilled a screw into each stud. There was just enough distance between the outermost teeth on the sawtooth hangers to hit both studs. The box seems to be firmly supported by the two screws, so I don’t anticipate any problems with hanging it on the wall. The box is supposed to be capable of free-standing, but I wouldn’t chance it, due to the size of the box. I used museum putty to secure my figurines inside the box, shut the strong magnet-latched door, and hung it on my wall. I have a white and gray color scheme inside my house, so I think the black frame looks sharp. It also matches the style of several picture frames I have hanging. I used all six shelves, but the shelves are removable to accommodate taller pieces than I have. I would recommend this shadow box to anyone looking to display figurines, coins or other small collectibles. I think the use of actual wood is worth the extra cost, versus the cheaper shadow boxes I looked at.

I got mine when there was a cheap deal so I’m definitely not upset about the little dent - things happen, especially during transportation. It was also on the back of the box, so I never see it.I do not use this for coins, I’ve been putting rocks on it & it’s worked well for me. The shelves are perfect - they’re sturdy for whatever weight but are still super easy to slide out. The fabric is suitable for using small push-pins as well! I don’t plan on hanging mind, but when I have it on a table it does NOT wobble or lean forward - it looks perfect.It came with supplies to hang it on the wall, with the lil plastic sleeve thing too so that’s really nice. I would definitely recommend this!

I knew the dimensions but what I really needed to know was the dimensions inside the box. The shelves are not adjustable so while you can take them out, it’s the only adjustment that can be made. I collect little hinged boxes. Some fit, some didn’t, it just didn’t work out how I imagined I guess. Also the backing in the box is kind of burlap or something, I am going to remove that because it’s not very cute. For me it’s a meh but it was inexpensive so I wasn’t expecting too much.

Shelf is beautiful. Perfect for holding your collectibles. Magnet holds the door securely closed.

This shadow box is solidly built. I didn't love the burlap fabric lining the back of it. But, if you're at all handy, that's easily covered with something more attractive. My primary problem with this item, though, is the VOC off-gassing. It was too much for me, a very chemically sensitive person. The smell wasn't even very strong or unpleasant, but I still felt sick every time I was near it

My wife used it to display her collection of shot glasses. The versatility of the shelve placement makes it absolutely wonderful. Very well made.

It's very well built but shelves are to close together even when I take every other shelf out.

This was easy to hang and it adds a nice touch to the wall. Great quality!
