It has reduced the necessity to water often. Don’t mix too close to surface soil though. Seen no setbacks in use.

The smell was too much for me
I had a tumeric bath salt i used in the past that i really loved. I got this one as a product substitution but i just cant get past the scent. I'm not sure what about it is setting me off but it is very strong and irritates my nose. I wanted to like this because it is a very well priced product with good reviews but i think it's just not for me.

My second year using this product in my house plants and porch plant soils
Ok this IS my second year using this product in my plant soil for house plants and porch plantsyou need very little, it goes a long waytoo much will cause root rot !!I mix into the soil for potting my plants as an additive for complete welfare for my plant fordecreasing watering schedules and for leaving on vacationthe soil stays moist and the plants are happy as can beI just love this product !!well when repotting my plants I was reading about diaper absorbency parts put into the soil to hold moisture in...so I look on Amazon and found thisI do believe in using and reusing but when it comes to diapers NOT...so much...lolso I found this to be a great product and wish it sold in a large bag for less for I am sure they get well over what it is worth....Now I mix this with charcoal grains with my soil at the mid section of the planting potThis is where the concentration of roots are going any way so don't waist this product it works findaccording to their recommendations of measurements.My plants, especially my ferns which need high moisture and water LOVE IT and they show it!!

Work better than expected
I never use crystals before and I put them in water and they pumped up so I put them in the plant and they kept pumping up! They hold much more water than I expected. I was going to take the plants to a convention where they would not have water for three or four days and these worked great.
