Bought this for my 5 yo grandson. I'm determined to get him interested in science in addition to his video game and Nerf gun addictions. I visit him every weekend, and now he insists on 'doing science' every time.We've done color mixing, several 'volcano' things (the one in the instruction book, plus the lemon volcanoes, and another one I found on the internet). We've also make slime. That one is harder because it's hard for him to get the right amount of psyllium husk powder out and then you don't know how much water to add. Still fun.It comes with a game like Chutes and Ladders, which we haven't played yet. It also has a book about animals with stickers to add in. We pick an animal each week. He puts the sticker in the book, and I read what the book says. Then I used my phone to look up videos about them. We've watched crabs walk sideways, and seen how smart octopuses are, plus rabbits!This is a great little kit but it definitely requires an adult or teenager to supervise.

I bought this for my nephew and he absolutely loved all of the different kits involved in it.

This is a nice set for children that gives you a pretty good variety of items: ~The dinosaur book is a simple story that progresses quickly to show a few different kinds of dinosaurs. Each page contains a couple simple facts about the different dinosaurs. The pictures are vivid and colorful and should easily capture the attention of young children. Each page also has spots to add coordinating stickers. The animal encyclopedia book is full of bright and beautiful photos of several types of animals. There is a section for farm, jungle, grassland, water, sky, snow, desert and household animals. Each picture offers 1-2 simple facts about that animal. There are also spots on each of these pages to place coordinating stickers. The pages and the covers of both books are thick and pretty sturdy. However, one of my pages came with a ripped corner. Fortunately, it did not cut off any of the words on either side, but it was still disappointing. ~The book of spellings is a useful tool for practice with reading and writing. I like the variety of activities in this book, including; matching pictures to words, filling in missing letters, tracing, circling correct spelling and even spelling words with no letters already filled in. The only issue I have with this book is that most of the spaces are very small for young writers. It is nice that this book is so compact and easy to take on the go, but more pages and larger writing spaces would be beneficial. It is also important to note that this set does not come with a dry erase marker, so you will need one of those. The book is easy to write on and erase with a dry erase marker. ~The puzzle is a bright and vivid picture of all the dinosaurs you met in the book. The pieces are pretty thick and sturdy. They fit together well, but they also fit together well in the incorrect spot. The back of the puzzle is patterned as well. It would be nice if the box to store this puzzle in was just a little bigger because it is hard to get all the pieces in there when it is fully taken apart. ~The snakes and ladders game goes together like a puzzle as well. The pieces are about the same quality as the dinosaur puzzle pieces. I imagine these will warp over time, but it is a fun addition to this set. It is a nice way to have a quick and easy, portable game to take on trips. It comes with 4 color tokens and a pretty, blue die. It does not have instructions, but most people probably know how to play the game.I wouldn't limit this set to 4-6 year old children. With the exception of potential choking hazard from the playing pieces and the die that come with the game this could easily be used with younger children as well. I actually feel like most of this is geared toward even younger children, with the simplicity of the writing in the books. Overall, I feel like this is a nice set to have around. It is fun and educational. It isn't going to teach a lot, but it is still beneficial. It is also nice to pack many of these things in a travel bag for activities on the go.

I got this for my son who recently started preschool and it is absolutely perfect. There is so many fun accessories and books that kids are interested in learning in a fun way! I also showed it to each teacher who thought it was awesome so I’m going to get one for the class. Says ages 4 to 6 which I find perfect. Should be able to continue to use through some of elementary school! 🤓

This is one kit that my daughter loved exploring completely. The books have sturdy pages, and great exercises in the 'Book of Spellings' that require a dry ease pen, although this kit does not include a dry erase pen. It is nicely packaged and I like the Animal book categorizes animals by where you can find them, i.e. Farm, Wild. My daughter is 4 yrs old, and she also loves the Dinosaur story too. The Snakes and Ladder game is perfect for introducing rules of game play to her and she enjoys it, even as she is a little impatient about taking turns to role the dice, LOL. The puzzle is basic but she loves puzzles and they are great at teaching and developing spatial perception as well as logic. She's enjoying the whole kit and has revisited several times making this a great value.

My grandson was excited to get this but it's pretty much one use except the game. It was not as others reviewed it in my opinion. It's probably fine if you want something your child will do once. I was looking for something that he wouldn't be done with in a day.

This kit has a good combination of books, puzzles and board games. They all come together very well. Especially the Dinosaur book and puzzle are favorite amongst kids. My 6 year old boy loves the kit.

My 5 year old girl fell in love with the kit at first sight. The books and the dinosaur puzzle are good. The pictures are nice and helps me in bonding better with my girl.

This kit has some good puzzles for young children. They initiate the child into probem solving and logical thinking at a very early age. My 4 year old likes to do the Dinosaur puzzle. It should help him build skills in STEM."

The little genius is very informative and engaging for young kids. Especially the Dinosaur and the DInosaur Puzzle - my kid especially liked.
