So much easier to use than a regular can opener, very sharp, easy to use, I like that the handle folds down to fit in the drawer better.

How does one open the large, commercial-sized cans? NOT with a battery-powered opener that cuts from the side of the lid;and NOT with the Black & Deckertall can electric opener that managed about an inch of cutting and jammed. And NOT with the traditional hand-held knob turner......ok, than what?The EAGLIST CAN OPENER with a long crank-style handle!!!!Cut through the lids "like butter"!Even the end of the crank handle's part that you hold, can be positioned away from the can to give your fingers plenty of room not to hit the can as you circle around the rim....nice touch! Great example of what a little leverage can do!

This was a replacement for my counter top opener. It's soooo much better, easy to clean; easy to use and doesn't take up any counter space.

Good opener, but not for small cans like 15 once, Vienna Sausage, Tuna cans & the like because the handle hits the counter and stops you from turning, when you move the can to the counter-edge so you can turn it and the handle drops below the counter, the can doesn't stay on the counter and tilts and spills. Now I use this one for the large, tall cans, and a smaller one for regular and small cans.

I’m shocked at how much better this works than my previous hand crank can opener. There seem to be many available now, but don’t hesitate to buy this on even if it’s a few extra dollars because you may wind up buying a new one if you buy another product like I did. It cranks so easily without any effort, and it’s smooth. My last one worked in lurches and was difficult to turn.

This is very good when opening a variety of sizes. The long handle and foldout grip break through even dented cans. I have not tried a tiny tomato paste can yet. Requires some effort, but pays off by riding right along and cutting with fewer cranks. It also does initial punch to seat the cutter quite easily I would recommend this item for anyone with a functioning arm and hand.
