Nice flow pumps
Very nice flow pumps, I have 2 of them in my tank and I like how the sync together and can be controlled from one controller. They have a strong flow, I have to have mine turned down pretty low. I haven't had them long, so longevity is still to be determined. But so far I am very happy with them.

Perfect flow for nano tanks!
Finally found the perfect flow for my Waterbox 10 gallon. I purchased the smallest 12w and currently have it set at 35% power and it’s providing the perfect flow for my small tank. Previously had the hyger mini but had issues with direct flow in one spot and power seemed a bit much. This powerhead provides the best water movement for a small tank. Gave it 5 stars for the flow alone, I will say the setting functions and controller are a bit lacking but once you set it to your preferred mode there’s no real reason to mess with controller. This does have small hum to it, the hygger mini was dead silent. Definitely recommend for 10 to 25g tanks

Trash, save money, buy something better.
Ive had hygger products before and I will say you get what you pay for. I've given them plenty of chance and once again I get a cheaply made, trash product. I opened the box and first think I realized was how flimsy it was, I rinsed it off with freshwater then installed into tank, plugged it in and immediately hear I high pitched almost squealing sound, within seconds I get a "ER04" error with states it's an obstruction. It's brand new and has nothing obstructing anything. I take it back out of the tank and look into it. The gyre spins pretty freely. I put it back in and repeat, same thing. Like I said I have given their products multiple chances and this one fails immediately. Some of their wavemakers lasted a few months before failure. Beware of this product from hygger and if you can avoid the company period. Spend a few more dollars and get a maxpect, or tunze or ai.

I would go a size up on the wave maker.
The wave maker is working the way it should. Now that being said I wish I would have went bigger. It is not strong enough for 29gal tank. I do love there products. I have bought heaters, lights, cleaning equipment all have worked as advertised. I also bought 2 of the 25w for a 125gal. So far so good

Great wave maker
We use this in our 100 gallon saltwater aquarium and it works great. I love the option to change the wave patterns. It's easy to clean and set up. It has run nonstop for a year with no issues. The only negative is that you can hear a slight noise coming from it- like a whistling noise. But it is very faint and I can only hear it when nothing else is running in my house. I changed some of the settings and I don't hear it anymore. So if you run into that problem just change the settings and I think that will take care of it.

Too much hype, not enough performance. Plus I got sent a used one at new price.
Seen lots of youtube reefers using wave makers like this on their tanks and its the only wave maker they are using and hyping it up so I dropped $103 with taxes on this, went on sale 3 days later. Upon opening it on arrival first thing i noticed is that the wave maker was missing a rubber boot on one side and had green plants in teh blades indicating it was a return and got resold to me at full price. Next complaint is I have a 6' long 180 gallon tank and even on 100% it doesnt have the power to "make waves" all the way across my tank. I have the 25watt one rated for 265 gallon tanks! my smaller hyger pump could send waves all the way across my tank. Only had this for 24 hours upon review but not a happy customer.

Small and powerful
Works well, but pretty powerful. Does not go below 30% power. I have it in a 10 gallon reef tank with a decent amount of rock that disrupts flow. I would recommend a larger tank for freshwater application or you have to get creative with your hardscape. This is a very active reef, great for sps, selective location for softies and lps coral so nothing is beat up by current.

Great bang for the buck! Buy it now!
I bought one of these to try out in my mixed reef tank in Sept 2023. Found I liked it so much I bought a second in Nov 2023 and got rid of the Hydor Koralia circulation pumps in my tank (it is now Mar 2025). These are simple to set up, mount with strong magnets, and you can slave the two together if you want. Flow rate is adjustable as well as the frequency presets for wave making. I have one at each end of my tank aimed at the other, but each is set differently to promote random flows. The construction is very good and I found they even have ceramic shafts for the pump impellers to spin on. These were less than 50% of the cost of similar "name brand" ones sold in the US market (that are probably made in China as well). I am very happy with these and they are a good buy.
