I am french and my 10 year old neighbor was very interested on learning a bit of french on her own since my toddlers start to talk a bit.This is a very good book for her. I help her with instructions and ready the words out loud for her.I think this book is well made for 10+ year old but not younger as there are instructions to read and the kid needs to learn the vocabulary

My 9 year old loves this book. Her sister got the spanish one while she had a different brand and she liked her sisters style and layout way better so when it was time, she picked this version up instead and likes it much better.

Nicely put together first French words book.

I've purchased this book to use for my academic support/intervention business with my kindergarten students who are in a French program at their school. I think it will be perfect to help them with vocabulary and basics. However, like some reviews mentioned, there are some mistakes. Since my group of students is small, I will just fix them with white out and a marker here at home. A few of the mistakes are with the gender of the noun and a few are spelling errors. It would be great if a native speaker/someone with mastery of the French language could take a look over the book and a new edition would come out so teachers did not have to fix those mistakes by hand.

This Workbook is perfect for Homeschooling! I am using it with my granddaughter who is in fourth grade. We were looking for a curriculum style workbook that included all the basics (the alphabet, numbers, colors, etc.) but also incorporated grammar lessons and pronunciation guides. This book covers it all! We meet once a week to introduce the new topic then she does the worksheet pages during the week. She is learning so much! And she says it is fun, too! Thank you so much for this amazing workbook! I hope you'll also create a similar workbook in German!

This is a great way to make sure that your child is learning French in a very easy way.

I tried adult workbooks and flash cards and they were too difficult so I bought these and am so happy! I’ve learned so many words I am now ready to move onNice quality!

I bought this as a sample to see if it’s something we could purchase for our primary students who come to my French class once a week. I love the format, and I love the simple, clean illustrations. I love that directions are given in French and English. The phonetics for pronunciation are very good. There is a lot of potential here!BUT, it is full of mistakes! Some are editing mistakes (ex: p.16-17 the footer says “The Complete Spanish Workbook for Kids”, the color red on p.62 looks magenta, no -r on the infinitive of écouter on p.109) and some are poor French mistakes (ex: using écouter instead of entendre for the five senses, spelling watermelon as “la patèsque” on p.107 and p.191, bathroom is listed as “le salle de bain” on p. 159, chambre is listed as masculine on p.159).I do wish articles were given with all nouns to help students get used to engendered nouns.If a native speaker could edit this workbook and clear out the mistakes, it would be wonderful for my classes! But as is, I won’t be purchasing for my pupils. I may reach out to the publisher to be alerted if a revised edition is released in the future!
