Nice packaging, great flavor
TL;DR: Gift-worthy packaging (see pictures.) Big Chipotle flavor, medium heat, smokey, hint of sweetness. Similar to Tabasco brand Chipotle, but more concentrated and smoky.Ok, right up front: my review sounds like a press release from the company itself. It isn't; I'm just a random first-time customer who is amazed by everything about this modest $12 purchase. These little jars of smoky goodness were packed in a gift-worthy box: see pictures. Such care (and expense) in packaging a small, simple food item speaks volumes about the care this company takes with its product. And the product deserves it.I put Chipotle sause or salsa on, or in, much of what I eat: rice, beans, chicken, hummus, vegetables, avocado or guacamole, and mixed into other salsas or sauces. I'm rarely picky about food but Chipotle is an exception. I want rich flavor with strong smokiness, a hint of sweetness, medium heat level, minimal saltiness and NO bitter or sour vinegar overtones or aftertaste. It's a hard combination to find. The only locally-available product that satisfied my stubborn demands was Tabasco (brand) Chipotle Pepper Sauce. When it suddenly became unavailable I turned to Amazon. I started with a two-pack of 64-ounce bottles of the Tabasco Chipotle Sauce, which I continue to use and love. The Louisiana Pepper Exchange brand sounded good so I gave this little two-pack a chance and it totally delivered, so much so that after trying it I bought a 64-ounce bottle. It's a moderately-thick paste, definitely thicker than "sauce" products but fluid enough to be poured from their large-mouthed 64-ounce bottle. Its flavor is more concentrated than a sauce, so it goes much further. I plan to mix portions of it with generic-tasting mild or medium liquid hot sauce and put it in jars to use directly on foods, just as I'd use salsa or other condiments. The unmodified paste is great for cooking or adding to foods during preparation. Just make sure you're sharing the food with people who like chipotle! The Louisiana Pepper paste and Tabasco -brand sauce have similar flavors: heavy chipotle concentration, very smoky, slightly sweet, medium hot (NOT on the mild side!) and a wonderful lack of other flavors that would dilute the heavenly chipotle. The Louisiana paste is obviously more concentrated. If you use it as-is you'll get a stronger sense of smoke and sweetness compared to the Tabasco brand. They are both great products; if you like one, youll probably like the other. Now that I have half-gallon jugs of each, my years-long search for ultimate chipotle satisfaction is over!

Delicious! High value!
This is delicious!! I bought it because of the clean ingredients (no corn syrup, no sugar, no junk that other companies put in these sauces). I mixed with mayo too and it was a nice contrast. High value because a little goes a long way!

Delicious and versatile flavor
This chipotle paste is a staple in our household and helps makes the best fajitas possible. A small spoon into some mayonnaise also makes excellent chipotle mayo that's perfect for chicken and beef burgers.

Primo stuff!
Nice little smoky flavor to it, slow build on the heat, great flavor. Go easy on how much you put in until you get a feel for it.
