I just purchased my third set of these top-down blinds and couldn't be happier with the quality and the fit. The first two were the light defusing variety and for like a glove. Installing these was incredibly simple using the included wrench. The most recent purchase was for black out shades with the same, top-down configuration. It took longer to get the old blinds out than it did to go from unpacking to hanging these blinds and they look incredible.I would like to add that I was equally impressed with the customer service when these were ordered because I was immediately contacted by customer support to verify the measurements that I provided. They want to ensure a perfect fit and this is the way they make sure.The next time I get new blinds, I will be coming back to these instead of getting the custom fit options from any of the other, more expensive, specialty stores or big box hardware stores.

Bought the 36"x54" no drill blackout shade in light gray. Arrived on time, well-packaged, and fit perfectly. They deduct 1/8" by default from the width, and it was a good thing, because my inside window width was EXACTLY 36" and the shade needs to hang properly edge to edge. It comes with clear plastic handles that slide on for top and bottom movement, and a little wrench to tighten the tension bar. Truly no tools are needed, and the shade was heavier duty than I expected and does a great job blocking out light. Moving the shade from the top or bottom only requires a very light touch.

Just after I ordered these, the manufacturer emailed me to ask me to measure again because this item is custom and can't be sent back...I loved that and measured again and two weeks later I had a perfect fit! My husband is a RailroadConductor and works all hours...railroad calls and he goes...so sleep is important and a dark room helps. I highly recommend these shades...easiest installation ever and they are quality and did not break the bank.

When I saw the box, I quickly assumed that the size was off and that the blind wouldn't fit my window. I was feeling quite bummed until I took it out of the box and the bubble wrap ... It fitted like a charm!!My window's frame is over 47 inches in width. The blind's extension extends exactly up to about the fraction that I stated in my order (3/8). Saying this to say that, the blind has some weight to it, and you will need to tighten the coil while holding the blind in place. This is a bit tricky and might require 2 people to install, but with perseverance I successfully managed to get it done. If you are getting a blind that's about the same width as mine or wider, then you will definitely need an extra pair of hands.I got the black blackout type and it looks amazing, and it's very sturdy. This is way better than an adhesive window blind that I bought a couple years ago (regretted that purchase, it didn't last a day). It's easy to adjust and I'm happy with this purchase!

We bought these custom shades for our cabin and we are very pleased with them. It took about two minutes to install. There was one tool which they supplied- very easy set up.You can pull them down or you can set them up to go from the bottom up.There is a little handle that allows you to easily pull them down and they send you two additional handles for each shade that you order.The color is true to what I expected. We have the off-white. The opposite side of the shade is white, which is great because it will reflect the sun. It offers great privacy on our windows. It doesn’t 100% block out the sun, but also we have stained glass which might be preventing it from closing up tiny little cracks which lets a tiny bit of sun in on either side of the shade. I think if we removed the stained glass, it will probably completely block out the sun. The feel durable.They look expensive and custom, and we are so pleased with this product. We plan to buy more for all of the windows in our house. This product was an excellent value for the money. You do have to wait about three weeks, or at least we did, but we live in a forest and mail is kind of slow in general. However, that’s not a long time to wait for something that’s custom fit. My mother-in-law plans to buy them for her house too.

As long as you triple check your measurements, I 100% recommend!I absolutely love these!!! I’m addicted, I am putting them in every room! I love the functionality, being able to have more control over how you let light in the room. Also having the ability to let light in the room, while maintaining privacy is everything!! While I do believe it is plastic parts with metal mechanics, I feel the price is right on the border of reasonable and pricey. But I say reasonable because of the features and the fact that it’s custom made for your window. I’ll also add that the shade is made of a thicker quality material.That being said, take the time to make sure you know exactly how you want the blinds.in the window or right at the edge/outside of it. They are made to fit exactly as you’ve measured. No wiggle room. I ended up having to order twice for one window because I thought I wanted it to sit inside the window/box, but actually preferred then to hang more on the outside…As long as you triple check your measurements, I 100% recommend!

UPDATE! My problems with contact were all on me-finding shipper messages on Amazon. In fact, they did contact me almost immediately and in spite of my problems in finding the messages, they quickly fixed the issue with the replacement. I had some reservations about the quality of the control lines but after taking the broken shade apart, I found a small flaw in one of the guides that was shredding the control line. They have been informed of that issue...and I'm sure they will get this fixed.

So easy to put together and in your window! Truly blocks out the sunlight so well, which I was nervous with the white color but it definitely works. Moves up and down smoothly.
