Using this for a new green house we just built for our urban farm. I just love the concept of having a gas-filled piston open and close a venting window based on temperature alone. No electricity, no mechanics. Just a simple, elegant design.On the practical side, it does the job in great fashion. The temperature in my greenhouse is moderated just right. Plants are happy.On implementation, I found I had to mount the inside part of the mounting arm on a 1.5" thick piece of wood to prevent the arm from scratching against the window pane. That wasn't hinted at in the instructions, and it took us a while to figure that out.

I enjoy gardening. Originally, I had a greenhouse kit, but it didn't even last a season in the location where I live before being destroyed by weather conditions. I didn't want to waste money on another greenhouse kit, so I paid someone to build a sturdy one that would last. This device was required to assist in temperature control.This automatic window opener has a temperature-sensitive ventilation feature. The opener pushes the window open as the temperature rises, allowing fresh air to enter. When it cools, it simply closes. I am relieved that I will not have to deal with the entire process manually.This is made of  high-quality galvanized steel and is built to handle the extreme conditions seen in greenhouse environments. It adjusts to changing conditions in the weather, ensuring ideal air circulation, and it completely opens when temps rise above 95 degrees, safeguarding my plants.Simple hardware and installation instructions are included. This works well with the majority of greenhouse windows and is inexpensive. It's well-made and a game-changer for my plants.

Bought these for my greenhouse, and they open and close on their own exactly as described. Had be slightly creative to mount them, although every greenhouse manufacturer is a bit different, so that was expected.

I purchased this to replace an expensive brand-name auto vent opener; price on this was less than 1/2. I chose this style bc it seems like the wax cylinder can easily be replaced without replacing the whole arm assembly and bc the arm assembly seemed to be at least as sturdy as my original opener.First, the instructions that are packed in with the box are really, REALLY bad. They make sense once you have already installed the thing, but are not particularly helpful beforehand. YouTube videos of similar products helped only a little bit because ... (Issue #2!) the enclosed bracket plates did not work with my hobby greenhouse. It took me quite a while to realize that I needed to use the mounting bracket from my old vent opener but ONLY on ONE side. Third, neither of the fastening clips fit into all the holes they were supposed to do. That led me to believe I was not assembling them correctly. On my third installation attempt, I cut some heavy wire clips to fit and used them, successfully. Photos to assist any others with certain name-brand greenhouse.

They work perfectly as advertised. I am totally impressed.

We have a fenced in chicken coop that we recently added some acrylic vents in the roof to help get some extra airflow for our birds in the summer. These were easy enough for my husband to install and we were able to put these on both sides. So far so good!! We do open them manually but they are easy to open and push down if we need and so far no issues with sticking or closing!

They work beautifully, although they are somewhat challenging to mount.

These operate as they should and are accurate within five degrees or so which is acceptable in my book. For the money they are a good replacement to worn out openers or just to upgrade manual opening vents.
