An outstanding, accurate, affordable portable hardness tester. Works horizontally or vertically.

I used this product under ten times in 6 months and it worked well but I attempted to use it again and it will not give a reading…definitely not worth the money. Perhaps if I used it a bunch in six months, but i only used it a handful of times.

This works with just any surface that has a 1" x 1" square for testing the desired hardness.The surface needs to be cleaned, but this seems more accurate when the surface is smooth and flat.

This turned out to be a surprisingly good deal. Price is super competitive and the accuracy (when used as directed) is spot-on. Everything is included here and I was up and running within a couple minutes of opening the box and cracking the manual. The included manual is in clear English, everything is clearly labeled, and I've not had any problems so far in limited testing.Sometimes Chinese shop tools are a roll of the dice but in this situation, everything worked out great.

Doesn't seem to read properly

Easy to use and worked perfectly for Rotax engine hardness testing w/o spendindibg $1000 .

Does not give good reading on smaller items

This device is handy and the accuracy is acceptable
