These things work
I’ve been using these on several cars for years and the deer will run back towards the other way. They always have for me anyway

Prevent deer from running in front
So far so good

Just in case.
I’ve installed these on a number of vehicles and never had any issues with animals crossing in front of me. Also, when I do notice animals on the side of the highway, I see they are looking up to see where the noise is coming from, this must be the warning sound that keeps them from going into the street.

No way to know for sure if they actually work but the price is cheap
Who knows if these Automobile Deer Warning Devices actually work but hopefully they do. Installation is super quick and easy and the cost is so low ($5.89 for the 4-pack at the time of this review) that it barely costs the buyer some pocket change.

Whistling, “Doe, No Go!”
A relative lives in a rural area with deer whom treat cars like in a mosh pit; theirs recently got the worst end of the encounter. Read an article on CNN about these so came, skeptical, but read reviews confirming the article findings & got them a set. Returned this time to get a set for mine. The article commented that these work by emitting sound that increases chances of catching attention of critters (& hopefully they will make good choices).. To work, for a car need to place one on driver’s side & 1 on passenger side on front (nose area) of car. Good spots are between grille slats. Also works: top of bumper- leading edge of front fenders. Make sure each one is placed as flat as possible and will have oncoming air rushing into it. About 30 mph is supposed to be sufficient to produce a sound critters could hear if paying attention that carries a bit further than typical car sounds (esp. hybrids/EVs). I also make sure to clean off the surface of dust, wax layers, etc before final placement & attach when not going to drive a day or two to give stickum best chance of adherence. These are low profile so easy to blend in & not look dorky on your ride. They’re not 100% but a reviewer worked for city & left great review commented they experienced noticeably fewer animal collisions & they had seen deer turn away from road/vehicle.Hope this is helpful.
