Beautiful mantle
This mantle is beautiful. It is the perfect complement to our new accent wall built by my husband. Installation was easy and the quality is good.

this piece is beautiful and finished off my fireplace. I love the finish on it and it was exactly what I was looking for. It is not as sturdy as I hoped for the wood that it slides onto is a little bit sketchy. I just took some small L brackets underneath to make it more secure. But you can’t even see them. Very happy with this product.

Beautiful wood
I changed the old mantel piece and painted the wall SW Peppercorn gray and love the results. The hardwood floor is Natural Oak and the mantle goes with it nicely .

DANGEROUS inadequate mounting hardware. DO NOT USE.
DANGEROUS inadequate mounting hardware. DO NOT USE. The included thin pine wood strip that is meant to be the bracket for this Avana floating shelf is not strong enough for the full weight of the shelf. This Avana brand 5 ft wood shelf is 20 lbs empty. With items placed on the shelf, it might have an additional 15-20lbs on the floating/cantilevered shelf. The manufacturer should've done it right and included steel brackets instead of a simple thin pine wood strip for mounting. But of course that would've cut into their profits.Don't risk a 20 lb, 5 foot cantilevered shelf ripping out of the wall and falling on a kid. It's not worth it. This product, as-is with the included thin pine wood mounting strip should be taken off the market for safety reasons. Floating shelves look nice, but they MUST be installed 100% correctly for safety reasons.
