Beautiful, Easy to Set Up, and High Quality
I bought this motherboard as part of a new PC build I completed over the weekend, and I am honestly very impressed with it so far. Actually installing the RAM, NVME, GPU, CPU etc. was very simple and straight forward (as it tends to be if you've built many PCs before like I have). Booting up the PC for the first time and entering the BIOS was simple, the BIOS layout and options are robust and easy to navigate, and just like that I was booting into my Windows 11 install USB within minutes. I had literally no hiccups installing, setting up, and using this motherboard as of yet. What I Like:-----------------------------------------------1. Motherboard is heavy, feels durable2. 1st NVME slot cover is released by a pressure switch instead of screws2. NVME locks are more intuitive than using a screw to hold the NVME against the board3. PLENTY of USB ports4. Onboard Wi-Fi works well (I merely tested it for a couple of hours as I use ethernet mainly)5. RGB lights behind the dragon logo are pretty and easily customizable with MSI's app6. Digital diagnostic LED display is an added bonus, traditional diagnostic lights still exist as wellThere is not really anything I dislike about this board so far, the only thing I would change is I would have all the NVME covers use the pressure switch release like the first one does. Overall it is a great board for the price point, and I would highly recommend it.

Perfect for upgrade!
Took a little while to upgrade and came across this product. My GPU was the only thing that stayed and was already MSI (2070 Super).MSI was a top tier brand already in my opinion. After researching and learning about all this mobo has to offer I decided to pull the trigger. Haven't looked back since and couldn't be more happier.BIOS is easy to navigate and understand, UI is pretty updated, from the multiple storage slots to the codes displayed on the mobo itself, this was more than what I was looking for. RGB (which wasn't a main factor for me) was pretty cool and easy to operate, the board felt pretty solid and durable and is pretty big, east to connect all cables and felt secure. Biggest thing for me was the "clear CMOS" button and the DDR5.If you're looking to upgrade or are thinking about this mobo for your chipset, I say pull the trigger yourself and find that you won't be disappointed.

SOLID MOTHERBOARD - GOOD FEATURE SET FOR THE PRICE PAID
Great looking motherboard with a minimal amount of RGB lighting effects on the board itself. Some of my minimum requirements when purchasing a mother are, a diagnostic alpha/numeric LED on board - Check. Good reviews - Check. Trusted brand I have personal experience with - Check. Easy clear CMOS button on the board or rear IO panel - Check.Everything on the board worked when I bench tested before installing in the case. Everything on the board worked after installing into the case and water cooling the CPU.Things I likedDiagnostic alpha/numeric LEDEasy clear CMOS buttonQuality of buildExcellent VRM design and componentsDedicated wifi antenna - worked great for bench testing, installing Windows, drivers, etc.MSI Center - that was a big surpriseThings I dislikedStill using the problematic Intel LAN - any time you make significant changes in the BIOS it disappears from the Windows network adapters list, so no wired internet until you reset.Stock BIOS sets a very high Lite Load Control resulting in through the roof CPU temps, even under water.Recommendations - once you're sure you are stable at stock BIOS settings, go back to the BIOS and experiment with lower CPU voltages and reduce your Lite Load value from stock (16), and try level 12. Work your way down until the system isn't stable. Bump up Lite Load Control until you reach stability.

Board failed within a short time.
The Wifi adapter on the Motherboard died within a short time after install. After hours of communication with MSIs support they advised me to open up an RMA, however I would be out of a computer for around a month by their estimation, as i would have to send it in and wait for them to repair it, even though it failed soon after purchase. Luckily Amazon was able to step in a provide a refund, and I am going with another brand. After decades of using MSI products, I am changing compainies.

excellent Z790 motherboard
I was waiting until the Intel Z890 motherboards get a little less expensive, and Intel resolves it problems with their new LGA 1851-socket CPUs. In the meantime, this is an excellent Z790 motherboard. I am using it with an Intel i7-13700k CPU. Beautifully designed motherboard. All my respects to the hardware/software engineers at MSI.
