I OWN A ROAD AND MTB BIKE WITH AN X3.I LIKE THE REAR HITCHES BETTER VS THE ONES ON THE ROOF DUE TO COST (THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE.THE X3 HAS A HITCH ALREADY ON IT, AND MAKE SURE THE SLEEVE IS THE RIGHT SIZE.ANY TRIALER SHOP OR STORY CAN HELP YOU OUT.IT COMES OFF EASY, TOO VS A ROOF VERSION
