This is a really simple steering wheel lock as you see in the picture you just loop it through your steering wheel and just snap it into your seat belt buckle and it comes with spare keys so in case you lose your key they give you backups for it.Basically to unhook it you just put the key in and push down and it pops up and out and these things are solid they are made steel wrapped around like twined inside the covering so if anyone was trying to snap it off it would take him some time to do and that is the deterrent right there too much time if someone was trying to steal your car that would probably give up or just seeing it is a good deterrent as well that's the way I look at it but it's a simple the steering wheel locking device like I said loop it through snapping into your seat belt buckle and that's it.And I would definitely recommend them if anything else as a good deterrent and effective way to keep people from even attempting to want to take your car.

Son took one of the family cars to a different state for his summer job. Not living in the most ideal neighborhood. He was concerned about the safety of the car which he needed to park on the street among significantly less valuable (to him) vehicles. He wanted a theft deterrent. We got him this.This is simple to use - wrap around part of steering wheel and insert into seat buckle. That's it. Makes it difficult to steer the vehicle (impossible ?). Unlike the bars which used to loop around the break to the steering wheel, these are easy to store. And probably more safe to move around. Foolproof - we don't know yet, but so far a pretty good deterrent!

At $18.99 (Amazon price at time of purchase; $17.99 at time of review) this is an EXCELLENT deal. In fact, liked this product so much that I bought three more.Look, nothing is going to prevent a determined thief. But if you can give the thief a reason to reconsider, then why not add that thing that causes him/her to reconsider.Well-made, simple to operate, great price. The ONLY drawback I see at this point is with autos where the seat moves back when shut down (I think some manufacturers call it "Easy In/Easy Out" or something along those lines) and this may cause the distance between steering wheel and seatbelt latch to be too much. So a simple fix is to add a length of similar-diameter security cable.Worth every penny to my mind. Like I said, I bought four in total.5 stars.

We needed a way to keep an older family member from driving their car despite them having the keys. This worked! It's easy for us to "install" or place on the steering wheel and it's easy to unlock. It doesn't take up much room when it's not in use. It also feels sturdy and well made. Would buy again should we need another one.

I watched a "Kia boys" video the other day where they not only stole Kia's and Hyundais but they stole other vehicles too. This would be a good deterent in those cases I feel. If you crank the wheel to the curb so the tires are facing the curb and engage this lock, if someone tries to steal it they won't be able to drive away. Definitely useful if you're planning to visit a large US city.

This is amazing ! Perfect security for my car since there has been a number of car thefts near me. It's easy to use and compact so it doesn't take up a lot of room when it's not being used. Love it !

I love this as an alternative to that big bulky club. This is so much easier to use and it seems just as secure as it. I would highly recommend it.

This thing works so good. Not heavy at all. Made well and feels durable. The extra keys are always helpful. Very easy to lock and unlock.
