It is so nice to be able to take our pet with us on vacation. Fortunately, we had an understanding flight crew on our recent trip to Florida on Allegiant, accompanied by our 9.5 pound, shelter-rescue Phoebe. It was her first flight. On the way there, we had her in a  Pet&I dog purse.  It was just too cramped and did not zip up tight. She got really nervous after we landed and were waiting to get out of the plane. We managed to purchase this Wildgogo carrier before our return flight and it made a world of difference.When we take Phoebe out, people often comment on how cute she is. Now it's her bag that gets all the attention. At the airport in St. Petersburg, we had probably 5 different people comment on how they loved her backpack-style pet carrier. Even the lady at the check in counter expressed her admiration. When we took our seats in the waiting area and opened up the "screened in porch" expansion, we heard a wife tell her husband "oh look, it even opens up!"But all those accolades would be meaningless if Phoebe didn't like it. She seemed to feel more secure and at peace even when she was zipped inside. There was plenty of room for her to turn around and lay down comfortably. When she was inside, she could still see out well through the tree screened sides. It's the fourth side that has the opening for the zip-off, screen porch. We found that if you twist it half a round that it stores more compactly and does not take up as much space inside the carrier. I think the carrier may not have been able to actually fit under the seat in front of us on the flight. We did not try. The stewardess was fine with the carrier being on the floor between my legs. On our initial flight from Cedar Rapids, they were fine with Phoebe being on our laps during the flight. But on the return flight they announced several times that their policy was that pets needed to be zipped in their carriers and placed on the floor for the entire flight. This would not have been possible with our other carrier but Phoebe did not seem to mind it too much in this roomier, more comfortable carrier.In addition to being a well thought through versatile design, this carrier is very well constructed. All the zippers, fasteners and other materials used are high quality and should last a lifetime. I can't imagine finding a carrier that I like better than this one.

This carrier has made it easier for me to place my puppy inside, and I believe this is largely due to the fact that she does not feel as confined as she does in her more traditional carriers and that she can sit and stand up.Regarding space, my puppy is a 6.5 lb. Maltese with room for growth.Now for the most advantageous aspect: I find wearing a backpack carrier more ergonomic for my back. The weight is distributed, making it significantly more comfortable than carrying the weight of a carrier and my puppy over one shoulder.With ease, I am able to transport her to the vehicle and subsequently secure the carrier to the car seat by threading the seat belt through the designated clips situated on the front of the backpack.I firmly believe that the value is apparent throughout, rendering it an exceptional choice in carriers for both your beloved pet and yourself.I have attached photographs in the hopes that they may provide you with a closer look and assist you in making an informed decision regarding what is most suitable for your pet.Thank you!
