Great motor just pulled more than 20 amps at startup so kept popping the breaker.

I have this running a homemade 55 gal drum dirt trommel with a double reduction gear. It’s been smooth and reliable so far. Only have an hour on it, will update if it fails.

Had a terrible time getting this to run bi-directional. Turned out the some of the the wires were mislabeled from the factory. HOURS spent figuring that out. That in and of itself is enough to say this motor is a do not buy.Their customer service would respond within a day or so, but they always provided some sort of AI answer that never once addressed the issue I was asking about. So a fail on that.The "knock-outs" for the electrical connection are anything but knock-outs- THEY ARE JUST INDENTS. they will not come out short of using A 3/4" DRILL BIT TO MAKE THE HOLE. Any attempt to remove them other than drilling a large hole through metal WILL RUIN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION PORTION OF THE HOUSING.Overall- garbage. Do not buy. Spend the $300 and buy from a major manufacturer instead of this piece of Chinese junk.

A few things made me skeptical about buying this motor in the first place, namely that it's a vevor brand motor. However it seems to have the exact same design and dimensions as the motor available from Harbor Freight (same factory?) So figured it would be a decent budget motor.The wiring inside also made me skeptical since half of the wires looked new and unused while others were clearly twisted together in the past. Maybe this was a return or played with by QA team.I was happily surprised to put it together and see it purr to life. It's not noisy at all, given the RPM that makes sense.All in all I'm happy with it despite all the concerns I had.

You can buy with confidence. Electric motors are complicated and you might get a bad one from any company. The good thing about this one is they will back up their product either way.

It is a little heavy but works great for me. I used to make a meat grinder

My band saw motor was flooded in the hurricane. This motor fit perfectly and the band saw is back in service.

I replaced a 20 year old 3/4hp motor with this. The older motor was not closed, and mud/dirt daubers would build in it. This motor was easy to wire, it is closed, and it gave me more lifting power.
