Barnsmith 6FT Sliding Barn Door Hardware Track Kit with Handles, Low Clearance Aluminium Alloy Box Rail Track, Black

I have a walk out basement and wanted to add a barn door to the little bedroom area- but the ceilings are just at 7 feet so I only had 4 inches between the top of the molding and the ceiling. Finally I found this hardware that is specifically made for low clearance situations and as you can see by the pictures it slipped in the space perfectly. This barn door kit came with all the parts you need except for the barn door. The instructions were fairly easy to follow and everything lined up just as it should. You will need help actually lifting/hanging the door when you are done but I’m a pretty handy gal, and was able to do the rest of the installation by myself. The handles provided for both sides of the door were also attractive and good quality. My door is 36” which is the maximum size this set can hold and it is very sturdy and secure. I would definitely recommend this set and/or buy it again!Three things to note….1. The door does not have a soft close feature - not important to me but just an FYI.2. The kit assumes you have a router and will cut a groove in the bottom of the door for the floor glides to slide on. The bottom of my door did not have a groove and I don’t have a router so I had to purchase different floor guides from the ones that were included. I bought IMPRESA [5-Pack] Barn Door Guide Bracket Set here on Amazon and they very worked well.3. I had to add a 1x4x6 header board which is not included but easy enough to get at local home improvement store.

I sliding door was not your average slider. There was very low ceilings and the door opened into the bathroom. I did not want that cause it opened into the shower. No room. I took the original door added 3” onto the door width and the slider attached to the ceiling. It was perfect. It was not easy cause we were working with limited space but it looks amazing. So happy with this product. Value was great. Glides so smooth and the weight was light.

This is a nice hardware kit. The parts are well-made, the instructions are fairly clear. Do make sure you have it mounted level from end to end (or else you'll have a self-opening or self-closing door!). Use a router to slot the bottom of the door for the guide hardware. (Another option would be to add a strip of wood slotted for a track to the bottom of the door: this can be done, but it looks rather slipshod.)This is a good kit. If you are thinking about a barn door this is a good option with everything you need.

"I love the hidden track look, makes it fit better with my décor. This is my 4 barn door hang and absolutely the easiest yet. They do recommend routing out a divot in the bottom of the door for the lower guide, but that seemed like more work that I wanted to commit to, so I ended up using a floor mounted guide that came with one of my other kits, works wonderfully. Basically you just need to ensure stays level with top track when sliding it, so you can skin that cat any way you want.Great kit, I will being going with another one of these when the time comes."

All h/w is included to mount up a slider type barn door for my basement bathroom. Installs easily and has nice set of instructions. I spay painted the valance bar to match my walls. Slides easy on the rollers and stays in place with the lower guide. Great product at a great price!

I love this hardware for the barn door I installed. It is durable and well made. Really easy to install. Highly recommend this product.

This is a great kit that looks really nice and isoffered at a great price point. Installation was easy and it includes nice extras like the handle. I don’t have anything to complain about with this kit and am really impressed with it overall. I highly recommend it.
