We have been without internet (and TV) for over a month because of Hurricane Helene. We are not sure when it will be restored. I ordered this so we could watch the news and see a few shows. It surpassed my expectations. We are able to pick up 35 channels. I will admit that a few of the channels are duds. I mean who wants two shopping channels? Not me. BUT... we do have over two dozen channels that are watchable. It was easy to set up. It only took about 3-5 minutes. I highly recommend.

Recently, we lost power and internet due to storms. The power came back on in a day but internet was out for a little while longer. Because it was Sunday and I'm a football fan, my friend let me borrow an indoor TV antenna. It was one of those flat ones about 1 foot square and it worked great. I received around 50 channels, and they were all crystal clear. No distortion or pixelation. I figured I would buy one to have as a backup. I saw this antenna which had almost a 5 star rating and great reviews so this was my purchase. It was absolutely useless. I received 30 distorted and fuzzy channels. Have of them just broke up while trying to watch them. I live in a major market and the broadcast channels are close to me so why this was so bad I don't know. I even made one myself by splicing some speaker wire around an old piece of cable and worked 10 times better than this one. So bad!

The performance of this antenna is disappointing. My old flat, stick on the wall, antenna out preforms circles around the new one. Signal is unpredictable. Clear picture one minute and no picture the next. Bad sound that city's out and lines in picture the next. Acts like there is a loose wire but I have checked all that.

Recently purchased this indoor TV antenna as a stopgap since my cable has been out for an extended period of time due to Hurricane Helene. As I live in a mountain valley in Western NC and only one TV station and one TV tower is nearby (about 20 miles away), I had expected I'd only get one or two channels. I was pleasantly surprised that I receive 45 channels, including ABC-CBS-NBC-FOX-PBS. I like that this stylish little (about 7" tall) antenna has a pedestal base (vs. the flat panel type antenna), making it easy to move to an optimum location. Setup was a snap and took less than 5 minutes. I understand that which antenna works best in a given location is a bit a dice game and experimentation with different bands and types may be required. But, given my experience, I recommend that you give this inexpensive antenna a try. Good luck!

I had high hopes for this. Hooked it up and set it next to my TV and it picked up a whopping six channels! I then stretched the cord out as far as it could get and got it over to the window and rescanned channels. It did pick up more but the last thing I want is for an antenna cord to be running across my living room.

We live about 40 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul. We stream our tv but don't get local channels. We had an antenna on the roof that just quit working, and no more local channels came in. I purchased this because of the price and figured if it didn't work, we would send it back. Took less then 10 minutes to set up in our bedroom on the backside of the house that doesn't faces the metro area. I just set it up and placed antenna on tv stand right behind TV to see what it would get from there before trying to reach it close to a window or somewhere else. Had TV scan for antenna channels and it found 41. A few don't come in but all the local NBC, CBS, Fox ABC are all there. I will be purchasing more for TV's that are throughout the house. Price, ease of set up and the fact it worked is worth giving it the 5-star rating.

I don't get all of the channels I'm supposed to get such as ION which claims to have strong signal in my area. I am getting a usually clear signal on all the major local channels so I'm overall happy but I live in a major Metropolitan area so if anyone should be getting all their channels I should be. It depends on if you care about getting channels other than the major networks whether this is the right antenna for you.

I bought this 400 mile antenna because my 40 mile cheap antenna, which DID get reception, sometimes alternates between reception and "no signal", or freezing or pixeling on the screen. I installed this new antenna in multiple locations and positions (vertical or horizontal), rescanning for channels each time, but it repeatedly resulted in ABSOLUTELY ZERO channels received. I even used one of those antenna boosters; Nothing. The only thing I liked about this junk was when I gave up and put my wimpy 40 mile antenna back on the TV, I suddenly got 28 channels, meaning that signals were being received on this very clear day even better than usual. I hope I just got stuck with a faulty sample of this product, but I see others have had the same problem. Oh, it also came with very poor installation instructions.
