My brother has been using this wheelchair since November. He is very hard to please but says he loves this wheelchair. I bought hoping he could go more places with a lightweight wheelchair. I was actually able to take him Christmas shopping with this chair. I needed some maintenance on the chair, and the company was very responsive and helpful.

I did a lot of searching before purchasing this chair and I couldn’t be more pleased. To begin with the chair arrives completely assembled except for a couple of electrical connections. After unpacking, plugging in a couple connector, installing the control arm, and locking the motors to the wheels it was off to the races, literally. My advice for beginners and is to move the power selector, using the + and - buttons to the lowest level. For in house use I find the lowest power setting to be sufficient and prevents damage to furniture caused by excessive speed.The chair is fairly comfortable and has many safety features to prevent injury. For example it comes with a seatbelt and anti-tip wheels in case you are negotiating a small incline.Although it is easy to get ready for first use, I would like to see a “Quick Start Guide.” The included instruction manual is packed with lots of necessary information, but due to the volume of info getting started instructions are hard to sort out. The quick start guide should include unpacking, unfolding the chair, installation of the control arm, locking the motors to the wheels, how to raise and lower the arm rests, and advice to practice using the chair on power levels 1 or 2.I did find the seat to be a bit uncomfortable and installed a cushion to make a more comfortable fit. This wheelchair has given me the mobility that I was missing. Overall this chair has earned a 5 star rating and could be the answer to your Power Wheelchair needs.MY Bad! They did include a quick start guide, but the print is so small that I had missed it. After several days of use, this motorized wheelchair is still great!

I'd been hoping to get a used wheelchair for my father - just for emergency/occasional use. Nothing came up so I started looking at options online. Every one I looked at (and I did extensive research) had significant pluses and minuses. Given the need, the three things that it came down to were weight, size, and foot rest. In retrospect, suitability for outdoor use and ability to use manually should've also been on the list.This wheelchair looks nice enough, easily folds down, and is as light as a manual transport chair (about 35 lbs). The control is standard for electric wheelchairs and easy enough to use. Expect some training time to get used to the quirks of rear wheel drive and maneuvering.As I see others have noted, this does not do well over bumps, curbs, or even door thresholds. You have to get a running start (so to speak) and go fast. If you don't go fast enough you'll quickly stop and the chair starts to tip forward. Go too fast and the chair will tip back a bit as it goes over the bump. Both were nerve wracking for both me and my father. Going on grass would be a no go, unless it was manicured like a golf course. After one use the chair wouldn't power down. I ended up disconnecting/reconnecting the battery. Essentially a computer reboot. The problem hasn't happened again, but we haven't used it much since that incident.Manual pushing is frustrating. The chair has a hard time going in a straight line. It tended to veer one way or another and required more effort to get back on track. The wheels don't fully disengage from the motors, so there's always some resistance.We had to add a 3 inch cushion for a better seating position. It seems to be designed for shorter people.On the positive side, we had no concerns about poor construction. Seating is firm. It also has real hand brakes, easily reachable when sitting in the chair. When powered, the motors provide an electronic type braking when not in motion. I wouldn't let the chair sit this way on an incline, but the format works. Charging is simple. There's a jack underneath the controller that the charger plugs into. A light on the charger itself gives the status (green means fully charged).I see this best used in the house with no door thresholds or inside an airport or shopping mall type environment.Three stars for overall price/performance. Just keep in mind this is wouldn't be suitable as a full time use wheelchair.

It has a mind of its own & only has 2 speeds. Go like a bag out of hell or suddenly reverse. I'll stop it & go to get out of it & it'll start moving again. No, it's not me accidentally hitting the joystick. Not every time but I'd say 2 out of 3. Yesterday I went to get out of it in the bathroom & it suddenly went full speed into the tub. Luckily I was not injured. The good thing about it is that it's very narrow since I have an old house, however every baseboard is completely wrecked & I knocked the bathroom door off the bottom hinge cause you barely hit the joystick & it TAKES OFF!
