Black Scorpion Gear Professional Competition Speed Holster fits Classic 1911, Custom 2011 IPSC, USPSA Approved, Adjustable Angle, Height, Retention Legal in Limited, Open Divisions

This is a really good budget speed holster for a 1911. I use this for my RIA TAC Ultra FS HC as well as my Rock Standard. It took a little fiddling to figure how to get the lock to engage because if the pistol isn’t at the exact correct angle, it wont lock. The locking mechanism had to wear in just a little. Retention is slightly higher than you want for a race holster, even with the retention paddle all the way off.My only real “con” is that the lock/unlock screw can come loose, so be sure to keep some Allen keys in your bag, otherwise you’ll randomly find yourself with a holster that won’t lock anymore.

I bought this holster for my 1911. It DOES work but..... I really don't feel like the gun is held as securely as I would prefer. I realize this is supposed to be a competition holster NOT a tactical one. It holds the gun through the trigger guard and you flip up a little lever and it releases the firearm. Just wish it was a little more secure. Probably would look for something else in the future.

Holster is a good value. Relatively inexpensive, seems to be well built, quick and smooth draw and retains pistol well.

This was the worst purchase ever! Sent it back right after seeing my trigger guard wouldn’t even slide into.. my trigger guard is of normal size for a pistol

I picked this up for airsoft - it's a really sturdy holster and works really well. You might want to put a wee bit of blue loktite on the release screw latch holder because it gets loose quickly.
