I got this pump to replace my aging craftsman 1/6 hp utility pump when its bearings wore made noise and drew excessive power and tripped the breaker! This is a gem! It pumps fast, and I am only using the 3/4" garden hose adapter. I should upgrade my hose to full 1 inch. So easy to install and use. Oh, yes, its very quiet too!

This product was very easy to use, worked great, and was a great value. The only bad thing was when I took off the housing to clean it, the housing gasket completely fell off. The only way to fix it is if I get some RTV to seal it on the housing. It is not a big deal, and will not affect the product in the future if I fix it. However, gaskets just shouldn’t be as delicate as this. It was disappointing. But besides that it was a great product.

Love this pump. I bought this pump to water my garden with saved rain water. I had been moving water from my collection barrel to my storage barrels. Then I used a watering can to water with. I used about15 gallons when i watered and it took several trips back and forth to water all the plants and it was hard to water with a watering can because the spout isn't long enough to get under the plants. I always envied people who watered from a hose with one of those long wand spray heads like they use to water in the big box garden shops. Now with this pump I water with one of those wands/spray heads and I'm loving how much easer and better I can water my garden which is twice as long this year. After using for approximately six weeks when I was moving water from my collection barrel to my storage barrel I forgot about the pump and the barrel pumped dry while the pump kept running. To make a long story short, the next morning the pump motor would run but it wasn't running. Six weeks, I didn't know if it was under warranty and I felt the problem may have been my fault, so I began thinking about what I could do. I did not want to loose this pump that I love using. I am a retired plumber and water pumps are often designed with the idea that the water will keep the water cool, so it may have had a melt down, but I connected the discharge end of the hose to a washing machine which has two female ends and connected the hose the a city water outside faucet, turned the water on and reverse flushed the pump. It worked, cleared a blockage in the pump and it is working like new. I can't blame the pump for becoming blocked with my dirty rain water. I think I might do a reverse flush every once in a while just as a preventive maintenance thing. If this pump ever fails I will replace it with one of the same or a more powerful one by the same company.

Purchase for when we need to drain and refill hot tub. It does recommend not to use with water over 90 degrees so I just place water hose next to intake with cold water to moderate temp of water it is pumping out and it only extends draining time a few minutes - or I have added an extra bag of ice that has been sitting if freezer for a while. I did use once with 100 degree water and had no issues, but it works very well and want it to last long time. I use a 25 foot garden hose that allows me to direct the water where I want it, usually toward several locations. During summer I can use toward ornamental plants to provide water, during wet times I direct toward area of yard the will draw the water away quickly.

I bought this pump because of the price and I bought it to get a few inches of water out of my above ground pool. We had a really bad Storm a couple days After it was delivered, and my utility closet had been filling up with water, so I had been using it over and over again for 3 to 4 days sporadically just take a couple inches of water out of the closet into the yard. it’s easy to use. BUT IT STOPPED WORKING SO DID NOT LAST LOND AT ALL!

I have an outdoor pool which I cover with a good tarp. Rain and thunderstorms dump a ton of water on the tarp and to get it off I used to bail it with a 5 gallon bucket. Now I drop this little pump in and let it go to work. Just attach a shortie hose to the water out line and in 5 minutes the tarp is clear.
