So, this came together okay in the end BUT it was a beast for my husband to put together. Some of the parts broke but the company was great about getting us replacement parts when we contacted them. So if you encounter the problem like it looks like a lot of reviews say, that they had some of these parts breaking, contact the company and they should hopefully help you out. For the price it is a good looking and sturdy piece of furniture. Literally my only complaints would be how long it took to put together and the fact that some of the parts do not hold up well.

First, this is a good quality bench. Solid wood, excellent finish and looks fantastic. It is perfect for us and convenient to use. The reviews stating that the bench is somehow low quality is not true. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wood for the price. It is all in the assembly and I have assembled a lot of furniture before.. I'm almost certain those who felt this bench is not solid or stable did not tighten the cam locks enough or they thought they were tight. Here are some tips on assembly to get this bench to how its supposed to be.1. Starting from step 1 you will notice the pre-drilled holes for the cam lock screws are not big enough. You need to use a screwdriver to widen up the hole so you can get the screws to go in.2. The screws from step 1 and every other step you see those screws, they have to be PERFECTLY installed. Do not use an tighten so much that it goes too deep and do not leave it where you can still see thread. Tighten it to the point where it is exactly flush with the wood piece you are screwing it onto.3. make sure the screw is standing STRAIGHT.Only when you follow these 3 steps exactly, will your cam locks be able to tighten correctly.

Great price, the quality is a little subpar but you what you pay for. I get compliments on the look though and the shoe caddies are a god send.BEWARD the top is very fragile and scratches easy ...someone left a cup on it and a permanent ring is in its place. A small amount air freshener dripped on it and it permanently ate right through the top! My solution is to now put a seat cover on it to breathe new life...i recommend a protective cover to anyone buying this.

It's heavy and solid. We used wood glue in addition to the hardware that came with it just for extra reinforcement. An inexpensive good buy!

all parts were with the package when it arrived. Started putting it together and got about half way when the problem occured. Some of the holes were drilled wrong so the locking pins did not align up properly. The choice was to take it apart and return it. I contacted the company in Canada and sent them a picture which they agreed to send me the two replacement parts. When the parts arrived the holes were drilled wrong also. I was able to drill the holes myself as the factory drilled holes were so far off there was enough room to add the correct hole location.

This is a beautiful piece, it was easy enough to put together myself, I commented to my wife that it had some of the best instructions I have seen. Usually I have to stare at instructions because they are some crudely drawn picture of something that barely looks like the thing I am putting together but this was a pretty easy flow of assembly. I deducted one star because one arm didn't quite line up snug but it is held on sturdy enough.

This is a very attractive and useful piece of furniture in our entryway. Perfect for removing shoes when we enter our home. Love the dark wood too.

I love it. Lovely color, looks great at my entry way. Makes everything tidy with the shoe section. Took off one start because there were MINOR scratches on the piece. For the price you would expect there to be no imperfections. I certainly wouldn't return it and am very happy with it, but I do think it is over priced. If you don't mind the cost of it, buy it.
