This balance board is of high quality wood and finish and easily would belong in a high quality early learning/preschool classroom. Well worth the money.Secondly, it is one of those wonderful toys that can be played with imaginatively in so many ways. Upside down, it is a short ramp and slide for the 13 month old who crawls up it, sits down, and then slides down - with parents on hand since there are no side guards. The 4 year old uses it as a ramp for his cars as well as balancing, and has his stuffed animals play on it. He runs, jumps, balances, turns it upside down and spins, and reclines in it to "relax". The uses are solely dependent upon the child's imagination.Great large motor toy for active boy stuck inside too much in our rainy and cold winter days in the pacific northwest.

I've known about these for years but didn't like the price. Finally splurged and wish I had bought this the first time I saw it. Amazing exercise for adults (think skiing muscles), kids of all ages love sitting, standing, reclining, playing on it. The cats like to hide in the tunnel it creates. This is a great family toy. Just have somewhere it lives off of the floor when it's not being used. 😆

While my husband thought this was a strange Xmas gift to give to our children (when Santa loves to bring them plastic, loud, obnoxious toys that are well received when the kids initially open the gift and discarded a few days later when they tire of it), both my six year old and my 1.5 year old love to play on this board. The toddler turns it over and makes it into a slide or stand on it like a hill, my kindergartener is practicing balancing on it as a see-saw. I can tell how much this helps their gross motor skills. It's pleasant to look at, doesn't take that much space, highly recommend - just don't expect the delighted "gasp" when they open this (which I know for many is the point of gift giving) but it's something that the kids will use for many years to come.

I spent a long time researching various brands and trying to decide if it was worth it to get this one when there are cheaper options on the market, but I’m so glad I went with my gut and got this one because it really is amazing.The main thing that convinced me to get this board instead of a cheaper one is the weight limit. This board can hold so much more weight than competitor products. I love that I can hop on this WITH my son without having to even worry about pushing the limit.Also, this is an extremely high quality product. I see no reason why this won’t be around for my great grandchildren to enjoy.I’ve had a lot of people ask me if it really gets used and yes, it does. Constantly. For everything. We use it for balance of course, but it’s also a bridge, a tunnel, a slide, a reading nook, a doll bed... the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.We bought this as a present for my son’s second birthday and started enjoying it the same day, but I don’t think it’s ever too early or late to invest in one of these.I’m super impressed and pleased with this thing!

Hours of fun! We use this open-ended toy in so many ways. A tunnel for a race track, a bridge in an obstacle course, and a climbing ramp have been the favorites of late. My 2 year old and 6 year old love it! the 2 year old probably uses it more for big-body stuff, but the 6 year old still gets plenty of use on it. Oddly enough, it's probably least used as a balance board (though I sometimes sit on it while folding laundry--it is surprisingly soothing!). I'm so glad that I took the plunge and got this. I've been making a concerted effort to buy less plastic and more open-ended, and this was so worth it! I'll repeat something I read from another reviewer that really helped me: this isn't the kind of toy that, once your kid opens it, they're going to jump up and down with excitement. If you're looking for instant gratification, adjust your expectations. But it is definitely the kind of toy that, if included in your play area, will be used many many times, every day, in multiple ways. I had to do some of the initial using before my kiddos started getting it out on their own, but now it's completely their object.

The wood can get dinged up a little. We ordered a replacement because the one we received has a small part of unstained wood protector. Once the replacement came, before I knew it both were in use by my children.They seemed to be having so much fun. Then I realized the new replacement got a few scuff marks underneath (I have rough children). I didn't feel right sending back the previous one so I ate the replacement cost. Worth it.My husband now uses one of them with his standing desk. He has had a balance board that came with the uplift desk. He prefers this balance board more.We just keep it in the living room. My kids will go off and on. They play with their toys on it. I use it while watching movies with them. I can get a nice little workout if I put tension in the body movements. Nice hip twists on the carpet too.3 months later, I don't regret buying the first one & my kids messing up the replacement. I would purchase again.Will update if there is a problem.

It is expensive but it is a great product. Product picture and description are accurate.

Love this board! It is so versatile. Even adults can rock in it. We use it as a slide, a rocker, a mountain for trucks to go over and a bridge.... there must be more ways to use it
