I bought this for my two-year-old, thinking that it would involve finding letters hidden in pictures and thus reinforce letter recognition in a fun way (no, I didn't spend a heck of a lot of time reading the description). Instead, there are a list of small pictures along the bottom of each double-page spread, each with a label, and with all starting with the same letter; the child must find each picture.Even though the pictures have labels, this is incidental in a sense, as the child could simply ignore them to find the pictures. This isn't really a drawback-- just don't expect this book to reinforce alphabetic or reading skills by necessity when doing the searches. That said, I plan to have my early-reading son sound out many of the words when working each picture-find.The difficulty of finding each item varies. Some are out in the open, so to speak, and some hidden in a more difficult way.The pictures are fun, whimsical, and in color. I am highly pleased with the visual appeal of this book. My son also likes it a good deal.

The pages were nicely challenging. But again no pages in the back with solutions.

I got this for a trip we were taking with our little. She loved it. It was a good balance of being fun and still challenging enough to keep her entertained. We had a three hour plane ride and she spent most of it with her nose in this book. I would definitely recommend.

My four year old adores these, especially the ones by this brand. Easy to read, color pictures, clear and uncluttery pages. Highly recommend!This hidden pictures is especially helpful as some don't show the picture of the item your child is supposed to be looking for, only words. Great if they can read, not so much if they can't!A bit on the easy side, but the ones for older kids are too hard...3-4 years is about the perfect age. Great for reading readiness.

My grandchildren love to do this book for fun. However I know they're learning to concentrate and name objects, alphabets etc. at the same time. I give this book two thumbs up!

My son loves these books, wish they came with more pages. A few of the items were hard to find...fun for kids and keeps them busy for a little while.

My 5.5 year-old twins love the Hidden Pictures books and it surprised them that this one asked them to find "1 of (this), 2 of (that), 3 of (this), etc". They certainly weren't expecting that! My son gave up pretty early on, but I anticipate he'll rise to the challenge. My daughter dug right in. But PARENTS, be prepared to help a little, at least in the beginning until they get used to the challenge.

Je pensais qu'on aurait à chercher les lettres de l'alphabet mais ce n'est pas ça. Néanmoins, on adore le livre, les éléments sont cacher plus finement que dans le livre homogue. Beaucoup de plaisir avec ma 5 ans!

A mi hijo de 6 le encantan este tipo de actividades. Se emociona mucho cada vez que encuentra algún objeto. Lo hacemos tipo reto a ver quién encuentra primero. Son pocas hojas (31). Muy recomendable!!

Purchased for kindergarten age child for some activities to do together during home schooling. Easy enough, with a few little harder clues here and there.

Great fun for the child.Good for a preschool sibling of homeschoolers; they gat something to do and be part of the school.

My 4 year old granddaughter loves finding the hidden pictures in this book. Perfect for her age.
