Got this to replace destroyed by storms. This one is smaller than the one I replaced but it works just fine. No dislikes.

I ordered six fixtures, four used for porch mounts and two for pole mounts. All six arrived in great condition with no breakage or missing parts. Easy to install on 3" pole or base. Although I visualized them slightly bigger, they are big enough, certainly for the price, and look classy installed. I didn't drill any holes in the pole mounts, but rather used the provided screws as set screws to secure the fixtures by friction. One caution: I tightened one set screw too tight with a screwdriver and cracked the fixture housing slightly. It is not noticeable, but I recommend hand-tightening as far as possible, then no more than a half turn with a screwdriver if using the set screw method. The fixtures replaced rusty brass fixtures and have added a much needed special touch to our porches and patio.

Metal screws in a plastic part is never a good idea. I cracked this thing while putting it on the pole. It's currently held on with 3 screws rather than 4 now :(

Use caution before buying this lamp. The lamp looks great, and although I have not installed it yet, it seems like it will work well. My big disappointment is with the assembly of the lamp. When I opened the box some of the screws and wire nuts were out of the packaging. To me it looked like a previously returned lamp, and resold. The glass for the base is not assembled into the base so this is required to be completed. First, the instructions do not mentioned how the glass pieces go into the base, and although this is not rocket science, this was a disappointment. Secondly, there are no parts to secure the glass to the base, such as a clamp or adhesive. The glass pieces are essentially jammed or wedged into the base. When the base is moved or set upside-down the glass will come loose and fall out. This is critical because the base must be removed from the top part in order to change the light bulb. I was further disappointed after calling the manufacturer (House Design) to see if parts were missing from the box that held the glass in place. I was told there are no additional parts to secure the glass. I was given no further solutions from the woman I talked to. Poor service.

Excellent brightness, I was reluctant because it was solar but it does give off the right amount of ambient light that is needed.

This light seemed to be good quality, but it is smaller than most lights that would be on top of a long, standing pole so it didn't look right proportionally. Returned it for that reason. It did mount on the 3" pole that we bought separately.

The pipe became slightly dented. But no scratches. Install of the head without the glass plates – which are easily removed for cleaning after installation, which is a real plus … Some other heads require that you can get a ladder and reach into the head for glass cleaning.

Well designed & assembled easily. However it was made of lighter material than I expected.

This worked perfect for us and arrived on time as promised.
