I own a Schumacher Model SJ5 that I have owned for years and I have used it to jump everything from a riding lawnmower to a 3.8L V6 Ford Mustang. After 7 years of selfless service the SJ5 is starting to lose some jumping power. When looking for a replacement jump starter the Schumacher SJ1329 was a no brainer.Just like the Schumacher SJ5, the Schumacher SJ1329 is heavy duty and well built. The Schumacher SJ1329 is simple to use. Simply hook up the cables and start the vehicle. The Schumacher SJ1329 has a small push switch on the front to check the charge on the battery. When you connect the jumper cables to the vehicle requiring a jump start and press the switch on front, the battery indicator may go from green to yellow or even red depending on the condition of the battery in the vehicle requiring a jump start. This is totally normal based on my experience with the Schumacher SJ5. Once the vehicle is started the jump starter indicator will be green.Here's the most important reason to buy a jump starter and carry it in your vehicle at all times. About 3 weeks ago, I went to the store and then to the gas station to fill up my 2009 Toyota Yaris. After gassing up, I turned the key and to my surprise, nothing except click, click, click. Caught me off guard and a total surprise that my battery was nearly five years old. Thankfully, someone helped me, I got the car home, and replaced the battery. The point is that for most people it is so easy to lose track of time since you replaced your vehicle battery. Ever since that day, I always carry the Schumacher SJ1329 in whatever vehicle me or my wife are driving.The Schumacher SJ1329 is a reasonably priced fully functional jump starter for 4 cylinder engines. Schumacher is a brand you can trust to deliver in both quality and performance.

Very light yet very powerful.I have a Diesel truck that normally takes a lot to start it but it jumped it off with no problem. I was surprised at how powerful this small jumper is. I would definitely buy it again.

Product is simple with added tire inflator. Just pissed re: xmas shopping online can get tricky, as how i bought two🤷? ! Easy, just return one....NOT!! Just a loopy loop nightmare online with their very limited multiple choices (just easier for them) because it railroads us to just pick anything to move on to simple explanation.....gets me all over the board/website, seeking c/s #, just sickened me, the dance💃🕺, still doing, to accomplish this high consuming task blah blah...just hate it, no time for bs....at least example: walmart (if not phone), can go to store if necessary but 99% success👍...but, if could bypass online customers, probably would... it's the new fad, to eliminate all stores, (covid fears), with 💯online one stop, shop for all ....yikes🤪 lol

Complete piece of crap. Air compressor sucks and won't take a charge after a few months. And the manufacturer is total garbage. No contact back. Won't replace.

I load tested and all I could get was 200 amps. Open it up and the jumper cables are connected directly to the battery. There is no mechanism in here that converts it to 1000a. Then again I have never once believed any brand converting 5 amps to 2500 amps (my noco 2500a - died prematurely) or this, 12v 9ah to 1000a.Anyhow, knowing these batteries will die within two years. I opened it up and swapped it out to a lithium battery. If it can last me 5 years I’ll swap it again 😂. Fits perfectly (got lucky) so long as you don’t reinstall the spacer. I extended the short red wires for the + and that was all it took. I also wanted to remove the pump but I left it all in there. Looks robust. Pay attention to the battery brand and ah if you want to do this too.Cheers

We have needed it twice now and are less than impressed. The battery crapped out on my son's grand prix and this thing would not start the car. Had to put the charger on the battery for 10 mins then use this and it started.
