These pumps are designed to fail very quickly! The front cover houses a microswitch that has no purpose other than to fail! The pump vibrates quite a bit and these microswitches will die in about 60 days. I use these pumps for hydroponics and I have bought 5 now and have seen it fail 5 times. Once the switch is removed they work very well for my purpose. Reminding you the switch is totally useless. It serves no purpose in functionality other than making the pump fail.Removing is extremely easy. The front 2 screws need to be popped off and the switch is present. Simply cut the wires and wire nut them together and place the cover back on. Simple as that.Quality control is spotty. I have had some come with extremely loud motors (bad bearings) however the last even with the loud bearings. I have had some bad right out of the box (leaky gasket, unrepairable). So TEST TEST them right away.

I purchased this to use as the pump in a solar powered system. I needed low Amp draw with high psi output in order to accomplish the project. This little pump worked great! It's not going to pump a massive amount of water but it does pump exactly 1 gallon per minute as it claims. I tested it in a five gallon bucket and timed it until the bucket was full. It took an average of 58 seconds to pump each gallon. I used a 25 watt solar panel with this pump. Wired directly into the pump under full sun exposure this pump ran like a top. I installed a float on the other end of a 150 foot hose and the pump was able to pump water through that until the float closed off the flow. Immediately after the float closed the shut off switch activated and the pump stopped. (exactly as it should) It was also pumping the water up a steady incline that probably equaled a 15 foot height increase. I'm not sure about the durability so I will update if something changes.

This water pump is worth every penny.. I don't care about how loud it is, I built a box to enclose the pump, that helped with making this champ alot quieter.. I've had this bad boy since the end of October 2017 and I can't think of one negative thing to say about it.. All Positive, worth every penny, runs like a champ......

I thought about throwing my 10 gallon sprayer away due to the cost of the 12v pumps. Was kinda worried about this pump being cheap but that was not the case , I've sprayed about 30 gallons so far , very nice, sprays about 15 to 20 ft ,

Very nice pump - it's good that the power connection isn't polarized. It has a decent suction also, so my portable water filter system is self-priming. I hope it lasts a long time.

I upgraded my rain barrel water delivery system this week. Until now I've been dipping out of the barrel to water my plants. I purchased the Baytite demand type pump from Amazon and connected it to an automatic water faucet hose timer. When the timer is not requesting water the demand pump senses the back pressure and stays off. When the timer turns on the pump starts pumping water into the 1/4" distribution line. Currently I only have 12 emitters on a 1/4" line which total about 21 GPH draw from the rain water tank. (I only run the timer for 30 min for about 11 gal daily water usage.) During my tests with an open 1/4" line I could pump about 42 GPH so I'm only at half capacity. When rain is not filling the rain barrel I'm replenishing it with my AC condensation water which has been averaging 10-12 gal a day, just enough to keep the rain barrel tank topped off. I estimate I have about $75 invested in materials.The only issue I had was that the draw on the pump from my irrigation line wasn't sufficient and caused the pump to cycle on and off at a rapid rate. I solved the issue by installing a bleed line with a valve and directed the bleed line back to the rain barrel. I adjusted the valve until there was enough flow in the bleed line to keep the pump from chattering.

really works well - so well u might want to a a reostat to regulate flow depending on application - for my trailer sink regulator needed - to empty gallons of water from boat hull in minutes - no need for regulator

Used this to pump descaler through my tankless water heater on my RV. Works great for that a lot cheaper than what the Co that makes the heater wanted for theirs. A 5 gal bucket and 2 lines with this pump and you have a system that is 1/4 the price
