Cozy
I have these hanging above my bed and they are really cool. They have different settings to do what you want with the lights and also it comes in a warm tone they make my room look really cool.

Nice gentle light; not extendable
These give off a warm white light that makes for a pleasant ambience, thought probably not bright enough to comfortably read by on its own. There's about 8 or 9 feet of cord from the plug to the first light, and then the lights are spaced roughly every 3–4 inches after that. The string was neatly packed and didn't take too much effort to unravel for hanging. They're pretty lightweight and I used plastic hooks with adhesive backs to hang them up without any issue.The included manual claims "end-to-end connectable", but this is clearly not possible; the string just ends in a light, not a plug that could connect to anything. To be fair, the manual was clearly meant to apply to multiple similar products, so this one just doesn't have that feature, and the product page here didn't mention it either. Still, make sure you're ordering a string that's long enough on its own for where you plan to use it.

The lights are very pretty and add a lot of color to my classroom! Unfortunately, they stopped working, but with the one year warranty the company sent a new set without any hassle.

Warm Glow Globe Lights
Loved these so much that we never put them away at Christmas. They are now used year-round on a decorative tree for nighttime mood lighting. We find it very soothing. We also enjoy it plug ins instead of battery consumption. It emits a soft warm glow that we enjoy daily. We will repurchase when needed.
